CANNABIS TINCTURE
1 Amber glass bottle with a tight lid
2 Ethanol e.g. Vodka or better still
organic plant oil extraction fluid
[most hydro shops sell it]
3 Organic Cannabis leaf or head
[dry, cured & crushed]
4 Tea strainer
Method
2/3 fill bottle with dry, crushed herb.
Pour in the ethanol to fill the bottle.
Screw the lid on tight and shake
daily.
It’s usually potent enough to use
after about 36hrs. Best after 14
days.
Strain the herb out
Therapeutic Use
Great for pain relief e.g. toothache.
Dosage depends on the severity of
the pain. A few drops to a 1ml
straight on the tooth whenever
necessary. THC travels to damaged
nerves before it reaches the brain
so you won’t get ‘stoned’ but you
will get pain relief. And if you‘ve
been there, you’ll know the
euphoria pain relief can bring.
There are many other uses for
tincture.
“In 19th century medicine, tincture
of cannabis was used mostly as a
sedative and antispasmodic for
insomnia, migraine, epilepsy,
excitability, childbirth, and
menstrual discomfort.
The Ancient uses of Marijuana
(McKenna, 1990) states Cannabis
was used as a remedy for
constipation, rheumatic pain,
absent-mindedness, female
disorders, dysentery, dandruff,
headache, mania, whooping cough,
earache, tuberculosis, nodes/
tumours, snake bite, asthma,
muscular dystrophy. This list is not
exhaustive there’s heaps more.
The modern medical
recommendations of Cannabis
include using it as a painkiller, antiasthmatic, anti-convulsant, appetite
promoter, anti-rheumatic, sedative,
anti-diarrhoeal, anti-pyretic, antibiotic and anti-tumour.
Safer than spuds
According to Judge Francis Young of
the US Drug Enforcement
Administration (DEA), “cannabis is
one of the least toxic substances
known to man, less toxic than raw
potatoes”.
The scientific measurement of
toxicity is the therapeutic ratio –
effective dose:lethal dose. The
therapeutic ratio of alcohol is 1:20,
of aspirin 1:35, of Cannabis
between 1:20,000 and 1:40,000.
Always use real,
unsalted butter.

olive oil (cold pressed extra virgin
oil is the healthiest)

Method

Shake for a minute or so daily.

CANNABIS OINTMENT
1 Cannabis Healing Oil
2 Bees wax (If you are allergic to
bees try sorbolene instead)
3 Double steamer
4 Amber glass bottle with lid
Method
Place the water in the bottom pot
and oil and wax in the top pot of the
steamer.
Measure about 20% wax and 80%
oil by volume
Heat water (bottom pot) till wax
melts, (top pot)
Stir in well.
Cool a sample to check consistency.
Add more wax to make it firmer or
oil to make softer.
Pour into the bottle and cool.
Therapeutic Use
Can be used externally or
internally. Yes it has Aphrodisiac
properties too. Remember this is
one of the safest known herbs to
humankind.

Cannabis is a truly gifted medicinal
herb that can really heal with
minimum side effects.
CannaButter
Here are a few things to think
about before making your first
batch of CannaButter.
Boiling the mixture will cut down the
time needed to make CannaButter,
but this practice may burn the
butter and destroy some of the
THC. Be patient and simmer on a
low heat.
Don't try to dry and smoke the
leftover weed. If you did it right, all
the THC is in the butter.
Always use real, unsalted butter.
Don't cut corners with spreads or
butter substitutes.
Don't use cannabis seeds and
stems. The first time, stick with
buds, shake or trimmings if you
can.
All butter, including CannaButter,
tolerates storage at room
temperature for short periods of
time. For the best results, store
your CannaButter in the fridge.
Note that a CannaButter high is
more intense and often lasts 4
times longer than smoking. Start off
slow until you know much you can
handle.
A large pot with lid, spoon, strainer,
cloth, large bowl.
Water (Enough to keep the herb
floating 50mm above the bottom of
the pot)
Unsalted Butter 500 grams
Cannabis 30 grams with all stalks
and seeds removed. The Cannabis
to butter ratio can vary to suit your
need. 1:1 weight ratio for weak leaf.
Method
Heat the water on low until it
reaches a simmer.
Add the butter and allow it to melt.
Add the Cannabis.
Simmer for about four hours. Cover
the pot to reduce evaporation.
Stir occasionally.
Add small amounts of water if the
pot starts to dry up.
When done, the mixture will look
much like dirty bong water with a
thick, glossy layer on top.
Line a strainer with cheesecloth.
Strain the mixture into a large bowl
to remove all the weed fragments.
Allow to cool then refrigerate. The
THC-infused CannaButter separates
from the water as it cools.
Remove the firm CannaButter from
the water in the bowl and store it in
the fridge or freezer.
Method
Combine flour baking powder and
salt and set aside.
Cream together CannaButter and
sugar.
Beat in eggs one at a time and then
add vanilla, slowly add flour mixture
until well blended.
Cover and refridgerate 2 hours.
CANNABISCUITS
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup CannaButter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
Preheat oven to 350* Roll out
dough onto a lightly floured surface.
Cut into shapes and place on
greasepaper on a tray
Bake 8-10 minutes or until very
lightly browned.
Remove from cookie sheets and
cool.
CANNA FLAN
1/2 cup Cannabutter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 3/4 cup flour
1- 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
1/4 cup honey
2 Tbsp Mango nectar
3/4 cup thickened cream
Fresh fruit for topping
Method
Preheat your oven to 350°. In a
bowl, beat butter, sugar, and egg
until fluffy.
Add baking soda, cream of tartar,
and flour.
Mix until well combined. It should be
the consistency of a soft cookie
dough.
Press dough onto a buttered round
pizza dish or a 9×13 baking pan.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Allow to cool.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine
cream cheese, juice, honey, and
thickened cream.
Mix until well combined and spread
on cooled cookie crust.
Top with fresh fruit.
Keep refrigerated until ready to
serve. Then drizzle with remaining
honey and enjoy!!
You could use CannaBiscuit dough
as the "crust" for this flan.
