The event takes place entirely within the Second Valley Forest. We thank Forestry SA for the use of some of the best forestry roads in the state. As there are many groups and residents that use and surround this beautiful forest, it is vitally important to all involved, that spectators are polite & courteous, to ensure the ongoing viability of this event. Welcome Spectators! For your safety whilst enjoying the Rally please take care of both yourself and the environment you are in. Please follow the simple rules below so we can all have an enjoyable time. Please listen and follow the directions of officials. They have been trained to help everyone enjoy the rally safely. • • • • Please stay behind all fences and spectator bunting. Please take all rubbish with you. Please take care of the vegetation in your area. Please drive carefully when leaving so you arrive home safely. (Remember the rally drivers are driving on closed road in purpose built vehicles fitted with safety equipment). FOREST HQ - DELAMERE The event is being run on Sunday with the first competition car due to leave the Second Valley Forest Headquarters at 9:00am. The competitors and their vehicles will be assembling from around 8:00am so you are welcome to come and see the cars and maybe get a few autographs before they leave for the first stage. The Second Valley ForestrySA Headquarters are located on Forest Rd, Delamere. You can access Forest Road from either end, from Range Rd (eastern end) or Main South Rd (western end), but the HQ is just a couple of kilometers from the Range Rd end. Please park your vehicle along Forest Rd (off to the side, of course) and avoid entries and exits to gates etc to allow officials and competitors to move in and out of the official areas. Spec Point B N Service Park HQ Forest Rd Spec Point C To Spec Point A Range Rd SECOND VALLEY FOREST SERVICE PARK 10:50am / 1:15pm / 3:30pm The SVF Service Park and Rally HQ are the ‘hub’ of the event. This area will have the following conveniences. • Food & Refreshments • Toilets • Event results (from time to time) • Access to Service Park (on foot) • Walking distance to spectator areas. From here it is recommended you choose which Spectator Point you wish to attend. Don’t worry if you miss one, as each point is visited at least twice. Public Toilets are also located in the following areas. Yankalilla Oval, Inman Valley township, Parawa CFS and Delamere General Store & Service Station, where fuel will also be available (obviously) Breakfast (6:30am-8:00am) & Lunch (11:00am-3:00pm) will be available in the Service Park thanks to the wonderful volunteers from Yankalilla Rotary Club. Proceeds go to a worthy local charity. Hot Coffee will also be available. SDCC: The Competition Car Club The Southern Districts Car Club organise a variety of events ranging from Motorkhana and Khanacross to Gymkhana, Hillclimbs and Gravel Rallies with all levels of competition catered for, from Club to National Championship The SDCC is open to all age groups and car makes; all are welcome. The SDCC also conducts an excellent Junior Development Program designed for students between the ages of 12 and 17 years. Cars can be seen in action for almost 1km at this spectator point, from crest to crest. NOTE – on the 1st pass, crews will be travelling in the opposite direction and you may be directed to stand in a different area. Rally Cars Spectators Car Parking Spectator entry from Forest Gate MF2 (Range Rd) General Spectating advice SPECTATOR POINT B 9:10am / 12:55pm / 3:05pm How to get to Spec B from SVF Service Park Located a short 100m walk from the far end of SVF Service Park Alternatively you can drive along Forest Rd and park outside the forest (as per map) Then follow instructions at the bottom of this page How to get to Spec B from Spec A Return to Range Rd and Turn Right Travel 3.3kms and Turn Right onto Forest Rd (take care gravel road) Travel 2.2kms and park outside the forest (as per map) Then follow instructions at the bottom of this page How to get to Spec B from Spec C If in the parking area, Turn Left onto Range Rd head in an easterly direction for approximately 2km and Turn Left into Forest Rd (take care gravel road) Travel 2.2kms and park outside the forest (as per map) Then follow instructions at the bottom of this page Once you arrive at the Forest Gate, you can enter the spectator area via the walkover ‘stile’ You can spectate left or right as directed by the spectator marshals. Follow instructions at the bottom of the page to Spectator area Thanks to the RAA of SA for providing their facilities for Event Scrutineering Walk approximately 100m to spectator area. Follow spectator marshal directions. There is an alternate spectator parking and viewing area on the opposite side of Bedlam Flat Rd. It is a rough track and not suitable for some cars. Rally cars approach from the a Northerly direction at high speed and turn 90 degrees left into the forest, up a slight ramp.
