Overview
There are a broad range of ad formats available to run in Apple News Format content, developed to look as beautiful as the
editorial they run in. All ads delivered in Apple News Format content are served by iAd to ensure a seamless user experience.
Standard, double, MREC, and large banners, as well as interstitial, and pre-roll ads are available to customize your message. Drive
users to various destinations including iTunes or App Store product pages, web sites, product galleries, or virtually any
combination features in an expanded ad experience.
iAd Producer provides templates to easily create compelling ads, built specifically to run on iOS devices using hardware and
software features like location awareness or the ability to add a reminder to your calendar.
All ads created to run in Apple News Format must adhere to the iAd Content Guidelines.
News is available on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running iOS 9 or later.

Expanded Ad Unit Specifications
The ad experience
The Expanded Ad is the main content of your ad that delivers a media-rich
experience. From the moment the banner is tapped to the moment the user
closes your ad, the device screen is devoted entirely to your ad content. All
assets should be provided at the iPhone 6 Plus dimension. iAd Producer will
scale to fit smaller devices.
• Ads are automatically cropped to fit the proportions of different sized
devices. The iPhone 4 and 4s have the smallest size and will result in
bleed areas. Make sure to design your expanded experience so that no
important imagery, copy, or logos are within the bleed area.
• The Safe Area is the space between 173 pixels from both top and bottom
or left and right.
