Second Street and Adams Avenue that will serve as a pilot for other new transit shelters in the region. The shelter should incorporate respective neighborhood themes/design considerations and should also incorporate sustainable design features. The goal of the project is to use the transit shelter as a pilot to expand the network of transit shelters across the region as a strategic measure to increase transit ridership. It is situated at the convergence of four unique neighborhoods and is accessible by many modes of transportation. The District is centered on Washington Avenue and extends from Second Street to Garvin Street. Haynie’s Corner, however is one block south of Washington, at the intersection of Second Street, Adams Avenue and the pedestrian walkway portion of Parrett Street.
