FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON
Welcome into the Catholic Church
I am the good shepherd
Amy Reed, who was raised in the Methodist Tradition,
learned about the faith of Catholics following the baptism
of her daughter last April at the Easter Vigil. Amy herself
later expressed a desire to know more about our faith
and joined our local RCIA group. She is now ready to be
formally received into the Catholic Church. This Sunday
we will welcome her into our family of faith at the 11:00
mass.
We rejoice with her and will do our best to
support her as she lives her Christian faith through the
Catholic Tradition.

Monday, April 27, 2015-Easter Weekday
7:00 a.m. Lillian Czarneki (anniv) By the Family
Mary, the Mother of God, has a special place in our
hearts. She is that perfect disciple who welcomed the
Word (Luke 1:38) and reflected upon it in her heart (Luke
2:51). We rightly give her the title “Mother of the Church”
for she was the first vessel of God’s Presence
anticipating the church as the bearer of the Lord in the
world.
rd
On Sunday, May 3 , we will honor Mary with the
traditional May crowning. This will take place after
communion at the 11am mass.
Parenting Perspective
“Come to Christ, a living stone, rejected by human
beings but chosen and precious in the sight of God.” (1
Peter 2:4) Sometimes one of our children may feel
rejected or left out. Perhaps they are socially awkward,
visually unattractive, or handicapped in some way.
Share a time you felt rejected with the child.
