Whereas, the Government of Odisha in the Housing and Urban Development
Department have, by Notification No. 5932/HUD dtd.25.02.2015 issued under SubSection (2) of Section 12 of the Odisha Municipal Act, 1950 published in the Official
Gazette on 25.02.2015 called upon all the Wards in 09 (nine) Urban Local Bodies
mentioned below to elect Councillors for the purpose of reconstituting and constituting
the said Municipalities 85 NACs;

The Rules referred to above are as prescribed in the Odisha Municipal
(Delimitation of Wards, Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election) Rules, 1994.
2. The Model Code of Conduct shall become operational in the concerned ULBs
from the date of issue of election notification by the State Election Commission,
Odisha and shall remain in force till completion of counting for election to the
Municipal Bodies i.e. from 03.03.2015 to 08.04.2015.
3. The Political Parties are requested to deliver Form No. IX latest by 5.00
PM of 21.03.2015 and Form No. X latest by 5.00 PM of 22.03.2015 to the
concerned Election Officer.
The Office of the Election Officer will be kept open on 22.03.2015 even
though it is a public holiday.
