The Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College invites applications for the position of Clinical Associate Professor to teach
and supervise early childhood education interns and student teachers in the Masters program in Early Childhood
Education. This fully online program provides options for a master’s degree, early childhood education
endorsement, and early childhood education teacher certification in the state of Arizona.

This benefits eligible academic year position is for August 16, 2015 to May 15, 2016. This is a fixed-term
appointment with no tenure implications.
Responsibilities include leadership in the program, teaching, curriculum development, clinical supervision, and
service to the program and the College. Teaching will be online. The position requires:
 Leadership to coordinate the online graduate early childhood education program
 Teaching courses online and supervising an instructional team
 Supervising teacher candidates in school settings
 Collaboration with other faculty to assess program effectiveness
 Continuous improvement of courses
 Full participation in program assessment and accreditation activities
 Relationship building with school districts and other partners
 Summer teaching (additional stipend is provided)
Required Qualifications
 Doctoral degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
 Five or more years teaching as an early childhood educator
 Demonstrated knowledge of current practices and research in early childhood education
 TAP Certification or willingness to become TAP certified through free professional development
 Familiarity with state and national standards including InTASC, NAEYC, and Arizona College and Career
Ready Standards
 Experience in delivery of online instruction
 Prior experience in university level teaching
Desired Qualifications
 Experience as a TAP certified clinical evaluator
 Experience supervising teacher candidates in school settings
