Position Title: Program Assistant, The Tiffany & Co. Foundation
Reports to: Program Officer, The Tiffany & Co. Foundation
Position Overview
Established in 2000, The Tiffany & Co. Foundation provides grants in environmental conservation,
working to preserve the world’s most treasured landscapes and seascapes. The Program Assistant will
provide grants administration support for The Tiffany & Co. Foundation. This individual will utilize
his/her analytical skills and provide administrative as well as programmatic support to the Foundation’s
Program Staff. The Program Assistant must have strong writing skills and have the ability to translate
complex ideas into accessible language for targeted audiences.
Responsibilities
Grants Management





Maintain Foundation records and filing system – both electronic and hard copy files. This
includes serving as the administrator on the Microedge GIFTS database.
Assist in the online grants application process and assist in reviewing letters of inquiry
Prepare Foundation correspondence including grant agreement letters
Track grantee reporting deadlines – request and review grantee progress and final reports
Prepare and review Foundation financial reports as needed by internal departments
Board Materials


Write and prepare materials, such as proposal dockets and graphs, for board meetings
Assist in assembling board meeting materials
Research

Assist on special projects and conduct field research as needed
Communications



Write briefing materials and memos for targeted audiences
Assist in the maintenance of the Foundation website, the primary communication vehicle for the
Foundation
Prepare presentations and fact sheets for the Program Staff, as needed
Administration

Provide administrative support to the Program Staff, including (but not limited to) scheduling
and preparing for meetings, scheduling reference calls, processing invoices, filing, etc.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:











1-2 years’ experience
Undergraduate degree
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong copy editing skills
Must possess strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple assignments
simultaneously while prioritizing workflow effectively and independently
Exhibit strong time management, planning and organizational skills, be flexible to changes in
deadlines and work focus, and be highly self-motivated
Microsoft Office skills are critical; proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
Interest in philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, environmental conservation and the
nonprofit sector
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and organization skills
Ability to think critically and analytically
Takes initiative
Preferred Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:


Knowledge of Microedge GIFTS a plus
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting a plus
