Chester County Fund for Women and Girls Position Description Program Director Position Summary The Program Director is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Fund’s grantmaking and non-grantmaking activities and programming that focus on four priorities for women and girls: core needs, economic opportunity, health and wellness and challenging inequality. The Program Director reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the entire staff and Grants Policy Committee regarding all grantmaking and advocacy functions. Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of the Fund’s programmatic work, including but not limited to: o Grantmaking Works with Fund Executive Director and Grants Policy Committee in developing policies, grant guidelines, evaluations for all grant programs Prepare and guide Grants Allocation Committee in their role Serves externally as primary contact for all grant inquiries and responds in a timely, thoughtful and flexible way in accordance with Fund’s commitment to diverse grantee population Conduct Site Visits o Runs Girls Advisory Board Program o Actively manages grantee partner relationship o Develops and implement annual forums, conference and meetings to highlight Fund’s priorities. o Works internally with all Fund staff in a team environment to share information about issues o Supports all development activities Represents the Fund at community meetings and is responsible for grants representation in all Fund communications, such as web, enews, printed publications, annual report Stays informed regarding social change grant programs across the country to keep the Fund responsive and creative in its policies and relationships with the nonprofit community and other constituencies Works with Fund staff to coordinate a successful and meaningful annual Grants celebration that reflects the unique role of the Fund. Shares information about grantees and community needs as it pertains especially to women and girls Works with Fund Executive Director on all other special projects and as requested Benefits This is a full time salaried position with all benefits outlined in the Fund’s Personnel Policy Manual. Qualifications Minimum B.A. plus two years work experience in nonprofit and/or philanthropic institutions; M.A. in relevant field preferred Knowledge of issues and challenges facing women and girls as well as of strategies that contribute to advancing economic security and justice for women and girls Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects Highly organized, professional and meticulous with detail and protocol Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Excellent technology skills
