QUALITY AREA 7: LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE MANAGEMENT
This one day session is especially designed for those educators who
have been appointed as the Educational Leader for their service and
want to gain a deeper understanding of their role.
About the presenter
Catharine Hydon MEd (Early Child
Education) has extensive experience
in the early childhood sector in Australia.
Beginning as a teacher in a sessional
kindergarten program, Catharine has gone
on to manage a range of services for children
and their families. Catharine’s involvement
in the early childhood field is an important
part of her commitment to the sector. More recently Catharine has
been working with early childhood educators across the country as
part of the ECA Professional Learning Project exploring the EYLF and
in Victoria has been hosting a number of forums on the National
Quality Standard. Catharine is now working as an independent early
childhood consultant supporting quality practice and innovation
in early childhood service provision.
Catharine will provide participants with an opportunity
to explore the potential of this role and the practices of
educational leadership that results in positive and innovative
changes in teaching and learning.
This one day workshop is offered in three locations.
