Explore & Develop Castlereagh Street, Sydney Early Childhood Teacher Explore & Develop Castlereagh Street, Sydney is excited to announce that we are looking for dedicated and innovative Early Childhood Teachers for our brand new 77 place Early Childhood Education and Care Service. This service will be dynamic, modern, highly resourced and very committed to providing high quality education and care for all children and support for their families. As an Early Childhood Teacher (in collaboration with your team) you will be planning and implementing the educational program, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, current approaches, theories and research in early childhood education. The program will encourage children to become active learners through a play-based curriculum that encourages thinking, investigating, exploring and problem solving in a social environment. Essential qualifications for the role will include: Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or an ACECQA Approved teaching qualification. Current Approved Working With Children Check. Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificate/s (ACECQA Approved) Child Protection Training (DEC Approved) is desirable. The attributes that you need to possess to be successful in this role are: Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework which includes government regulations, the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework. Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Enthusiastic, motivated, professional, flexible and reliable. Ability to form and maintain respectful relationships with families and children and foster a community spirit. A passion for developing, planning and implementing an innovative educational program with a commitment to inclusive early childhood practice and social justice. Demonstrated ability to work with a passionate, committed and highly driven team of educators that creates a positive, supportive and educational environment.
