How to find the serial number on your new Haier appliance The Haier serial number is normally a total of 20 of numbers and letters. It is this long as it tells us lots of information about the machine you have just purchased. It is important that you copy the serial number very carefully. On some Haier appliances the serial number is only 9 numbers long, please see page 7 for more information. An example of a 20 digit serial number is CE0HR0E0600CP9BP0001 Any character I or O is always a number, so I is a 1 (one) and the O is always a 0 (zero). Where can I find the serial number ? The serial number is located on the machines data label. Please refer to the following pages for specific location of the data label on your machine. If you cannot find or read the data label to find the serial number, please contact the help desk who will be happy to help. Contact details are provided in the Warranty Card. I can’t read the data plate because it is damaged On washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, fridges and freezers there is another set of serial numbers on the back of each machine, usually located top left of the machine. You will need to gain access to the back of the machine. Please be very careful as washing machines are very heavy and the tall fridges may topple over if not moved carefully. We strongly suggest you get assistance with moving washing machines and tall fridges and freezers. Take care not to strain, trap or cut power cables and water connections when gaining access to the back of the machine. Take extra care when putting them back not to trap, cut, kink or strain the cables, pipes or squash your fingers. Take care to position fridges and freezers so that there is adequate ventilation around them and no part of the fridge or freezer touches the walls otherwise you will get unwanted noises where parts of the fridge / freezer vibrates touches walls, cabinets or any other object. Please do not peel the whole data label of the appliance, just the individual stickers as shown in the illustration, where just one part has been removed. If the serial number is very small there is a data label on the back of the washing machine where the serial is repeated and is in a large font and easier to read. Dishwashers The data label on a Haier dishwasher is located on the top left side of the door. You need to open the door a little to see the data plate and the serial number is on the bottom of the data plate. Page 3 Haier UK Revision 4 28 Aug 12 Fridges, Freezer and Fridge – Freezers Fridges, freezers and fridge freezers typically have the data label on the left side of the compartment. Depending on the model you may have to remove the crisper drawer to gain access to see the data label. Under-counter fridges and freezers manufactured late 2012 only have the serial number on the back of the fridge or freezer. Refer to the following page for details. On the Side-by-Side (American style) fridge freezers the data label is typically top left of the fridge compartment. The serial number is sometimes in groups of 5 digits. When you fill in the serial number on-line or on warranty card, please omit the spaces or gaps between each group. Example:- BJ00B 2E01C 0B599 90227 should be entered as BJ00B2E01C0B59990227. There is usually a bar code under the numbers and letters of the serial number. Please take care when moving the wine coolers especially if full of bottles. Televisions. The serial number is on the back of the TV, typically near the where the connections are. There is usually a bar code under the numbers and letters of the serial number. The serial number is sometimes in groups of 5 digits, when you fill in the serial number on-line or on warranty card please omit the spaces or gaps between each group. Example:- DC1M5 0M010 0DZB4 X1299 should be entered as DC1M50M0100DZB4X1299. Page 7 Haier UK Revision 4 28 Aug 12 The 9 digit serial number. On some Haier appliances there will be a 9 digit serial instead of the usual 20 digit serial number. The serial number will always be in the same location, however long it is, as detailed in the previous pages of this guide. In the example below, the 9 digit serial number is on the door surround of a washing machine. Please use the full 20 digit serial number not the 9 digit serial number when registering your machine or any subsequent communication. The typical 9 digit serial number.
