If You Have Private Insurance:
 No co-pays or deductibles for preventive care in most plans.

Insurers cannot deny coverage or charge more because of
pre-existing health problems or gender

Young adults up to age 26, or age 28 with some plans in Ohio, can
stay on their parent’s plan.

Insurers are required to spend at least 80% of premiums on health
claims. If insurers spend less, they must repay their customers.
If You’re Uninsured:
 Medicaid has expanded income
limits and now includes adults
without dependants. Visit
benefits.ohio.gov to see if you
qualify and apply.


You can purchase affordable
coverage in the Marketplace
(Exchange).
Last day to get coverage through
the Marketplace and avoid the
penalty.

Last day to enroll in Medicaid to
get health care expenses from Jan. 1
- Mar. 31, 2014 covered.
