Many prisons and penitentiaries hav#
baseball teams composed of Inmates,
and the national sport has done much
to revive the health and spirits o f
prisoners. These baseball teams are
uniformed and play a regular schedule
of games* but of necessity these games
are always played on the prison home
grounds.
One of the best known prison teams
i s that « f Sing Sing. It is known a s
the Mutual Welfare League team? and

splendidly graded surface, and there
