Webb Photography’s work highlighted on Chamber’s Gallery Wall
Our May Artists of the Month are Derry and Tisha Webb of Webb Photography. Specializing in portraiture, the
Webbs have been offering both studio and natural light photography here in Socorro for the past 5 years. Working in a wide variety of settings, from photographing high school seniors, families, and children to weddings and
special events, they enjoy working together.
“I love working with people, especially kids, and helping them to feel comfortable,” Tisha
Webb explained, “and Derry is more on the technical end of the photography process.
We’re a good team!”
When not behind their cameras, Tisha works as a nursery school teacher and Derry works
at IRIS PASSCAL, on Tech campus.
Stop by the Chamber office throughout the month of May to view a sampling of the Webb’s
work. For more information on their services, they can be reached at 575-835-0161 or

Wild Bunch Reunion Association Rodeo moves to Socorro
The Wild Bunch Reunion Association (WBRA) 3rd annual Rodeo will be held at the Socorro County Fairgrounds on May 10-11, 2014. Association President Martin Wellito, along with the WBRA board, decided to
move the event from Magdalena to Socorro this year in order to have more hotel rooms available and also to
draw participants and attendees from a broader area.
Make your way to the Socorro County Fairgrounds for a weekend of good food, excitement, and family fun! See
your favorite rodeo events as well as some fun ones that are new this year: duck cutting for children 7 years old
and under or the Saturday evening dance contest! Rodeo admission is $5, with kids 7 and under admitted for
free. Admission to the dance is also $5, with kids 7 and under entering for free. Since it will be Mother’s Day
weekend, the WBRA staff will have a surprise for all mothers who attend on Sunday. Please see the insert in this
newsletter for additional information on events.
The WBRA began in Magdalena when three former high school friends wanted a way to give back to their community and to Socorro County. They are a non-profit association dedicated to youth, the promotion of rodeo,
and the betterment of education. The WBRA provides scholarships to New Mexico students involved in Future
Farmers of America (FFA), rodeo, ranching, and agriculture. They accept fiscal donations as well as donations of
personal time and experience. WBRA has awarded $1500.00 in scholarships so far and is hoping to increase the
amount of funds it raises this year. To get involved, please email [email protected] or [email protected].
Membership renewal coming up soon
In 2 short months, it will be membership renewal time at the Socorro County Chamber of Commerce. Please
watch for your invoice, which will be arriving by July 1.
We are currently proud to support and promote hundreds of local businesses, artists, entrepreneurs, and individuals, with more members joining our team each month. We hope you will continue your membership with
the Chamber of Commerce and we welcome any suggestions as to how we might better serve you. If you have
any questions or would like more information, please call the Chamber office at 575-835-0424.
