How to Share Christ with Muslims1
Christian
1. Are you Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, or
Christian? Or Are you very religious?
2. Most religions are alike, aren’t they we are all trying to pay off our sins so
that we can go to heaven. In your
religion, what are you doing to pay for
your sins?
3. Three questions:
a. Are your sins paid off yet?
b. When do you think your sins
will be paid off?
c. On Judgment Day, will your sin
debt be paid?
4. What I believe is different. I know
that my sins are forgiven. It is not
because I am a good person, although
I do try. I know my sins are forgiven,
because God Himself has made a way
for our sins to be forgiven.
5. Jesus, who was perfect and did
miracles,2 also told his closest friends
that He had to die and be raised again
to life. Do you know why He said that
He had to die?
6. The Taurat tells us that Adam and Eve
sinned and were thrown out of the
garden. Then God killed an animal
and used its skin to make them some
clothes. The animal was a sacrifice
that covered the shame of sin.
Muslim
I am a Muslim or Not very religious, but I try.
I pray, say the shahada, give alms, fast during
Ramadan, and hope to go on a pilgrimage to
Mecca someday.
a. Not yet.
b. I don’t know.
c. No one knows the answer to
that, because only God can
judge.
(listening)
No, I do not know why He said that.

7. From then on the prophets offered
sacrifices to pay for sin. Adam, Abel,
Noah, Abraham, Moses, David,
Solomon, and others did this. In fact,
the Bible teaches that there is no
forgiveness of sin without the
shedding of blood.
8. In the beginning of Jesus’ ministry, a
prophet named John pointed to Him
and said, “Look, the Lamb of God,
who takes away the sins of the
world.” A lamb is an animal used for
sacrifice.
9. That is why Jesus said that He must
die. By dying on a cross Jesus became
the sacrifice which paid for your sins
and mine. By rising again He
displayed His power over death.
10. According to the Bible, if we
surrender our life to Jesus as Lord and
believe that He has paid for our sins
through His sacrifice and that God has
raised Him from the dead, our sins
will be forgiven.
11. Two questions.
a. It makes sense, doesn’t it, that
we cannot pay off our own
sins but that God made a way
for our sins to be forgiven
through Jesus’ sacrifice?
b. Do you believe this?
12. Would you like to meet sometime to
discuss this further?

a. Yes, it makes sense, or No, I don’t think
this makes sense.
b. No, I do not believe this. Or Yes, I believe
this.
Yes I would.
