Step 1 — How to install BB92 Bottom Brackets
BB92 install, skip ahead to step 7 for removal
Start by measuring your BB shell
89.5mm shells will use a 2.5mm spacer under the drive side cup, 92mm shells will not
Step 2

Step 3
If your BB shell is 89.5mm wide, install the silver 2.5mm spacer onto the drive side cup
before install
92mm wide frames do not use the spacer
Step 4
Remove the plastic bearing spacer from the cup/bearing assembly.
Slide the cup into the frame as far as it will go. It should just start to go into the frame.

Step 6
Use a bearing press to slowly
press in the BB cup, by sure the
cup goes in straight
In this case we our using a Hive
bearing press tool, many other
threaded bearing presses will work
however
On the other side of the tool we
are using a flat plate against the
frame
Tighten until the cup is pressed in
all the way
check the cup all the way around
to make sure it is flush with the
BB shell
Do not over tighten the cup,
especially on carbon frames.
Tighten the cup until it is flush
with the frame and no more
Repeat with the other side of the
BB shell

Step 8
Insert the BB removal tool included with the BB into the cup
Be sure the side that says "BB92, this side out" is the side that is away from touching the
BB cup
the raised diameter in the center of the tool should fit inside the inner diameter of the BB
cup
