 The North Face Race to the Top of Vermont Registration “How To” List FOR ALL REGISTRATIONS: 1. Participant must hand you signed race waiver (their “ticket” to get their race packet). These will be handed to them at the door. a. ***If they are a day of registrant, send them to specific Race Day Registration table if there are still spots! b. ***If they would like to change the type of race they are in, go to Race Day Registration table with their current packet and waiver, and they will be reregistered and their bib number will be crossed off the master list and given another bib. 2. Put waiver in waiver box. 3. Look up participants name on master spreadsheet and find corresponding bib number. 4. Find packet with bib number on it behind you (packets are in numerical order). Make sure race bib inside matches the race number on packet. 5. Remind them to write their emergency contact on their bib when picking up their t-­‐shirt. 6. Check participant in on master spreadsheet. 7. Make sure that any extra BBQ tickets indicated on label outside of packet are inside packet. Ask participant to make sure everything looks accurate. 8. Tell participant that BBQ ticket and auto pass are attached to bottom of their race bib if they are runners or hikers. If they are bikers, their BBQ ticket and Auto pass are in their packets. 9. Send participant to next table to pick up t-­‐shirt. They must show t-­‐shirt volunteers their packet to indicate which size the ordered. a. ***If participant would like to exchange their shirt for a different size, they must take their original shirt to the next table over that will be for day of registration t-­‐shirt pick up. These will be all of the extra shirts that we have and they can exchange for whatever sizes are left. There will be NO exchanging t-­‐shirts for ones in the pre-­‐registration piles. b. ***If they are a day of registrant, they must go to the day of registration t-­‐shirt table and choose from the left over available sizes. c. ***Participants must write their emergency contact number on their bib before exiting the registration room. Floater volunteers will be on hand to ensure that racers comply. 10. Next to the t-­‐shirts they will be handed their raffle ticket. Volunteers will hand one side of the raffle ticket to participant and keep other side for drawing. One other volunteer will be selling extra raffle tickets here. All raffle ticket stubs will need to be brought down to the Rusty Nail and returned to Matt Larson before the awards ceremony starts. Please make sure tickets are ripped into individual stubs before being brought to the Rusty Nail. 11. If a participant would like to buy a toll road pass, the driver of the car must collect 3 tickets from the bottom of participant’s bibs (or blue biker ticket) and hand in at the Tollhouse Booth, or pay $25.00 for a pass AT THE TOLLHOUSE BOOTH. Only a certain amount of passes will be available. RACE DAY REGISTRATION: 1. Participant must hand you a signed race waiver (their “ticket” to get their race packet). 2. There are no team registrations on race day. 3. Put waiver in waiver box. 4. Have them fill out paper registration form, make sure you have correct $/CC information ($70 for everyone). There will be a finite number of bibs with BBQ tickets left on them. 5. Grab a pre-­‐packed packet (make sure to grab correct bike or run packet – bike packet will have BBQ ticket and auto pass inserted separately). 6. Take a bib from the appropriate stack of numbers (hiker = no number and yellow, runner 001-­‐600 or biker 701-­‐875). 7. Write the bib number on their packet and on their paper registration form. 8. Remind them to write their emergency contact number on their bib. 9. Hand registration form to timer employee sitting next to you. Have them enter information and hand forms back to you right away. Collect all forms in appropriate box. 10. CONTINUE WITH STEP 7 ABOVE 11. After registration has closed, rip BBQ tickets off of any remaining race bibs or take them out of biker packets and give to the CTA store to sell. CHANGING TYPE OF RACE (FROM A BIKER TO A RUNNER, ETC.) 1. Send participant with current packet and waiver to Race Day Registration Table. 2. Take their packet and cross their current number off of the master spreadsheet. 3. Have them fill out a new paper registration form, and write on payment section that they were a day of race change. 4. Give them a new bib from the appropriate stack of numbers (hiker = no number and yellow, runner 001-­‐600 or biker 701-­‐875). 5. Write bib number on their packet and on their paper registration form. Write the t-­‐shirt size they ordered on their packet for t-­‐shirt volunteers to see. 6. Make sure that they keep any extra BBQ tickets that may have been in their old packet and from their old bib/packet if given a new bib without a BBQ ticket. 7. Hand registration form to timer employee sitting next to you. Have them enter information and hand forms back to you right away. Collect all forms in appropriate box. 8. Take the BBQ ticket off their old, now expired bib if applicable in case anyone registers after all of the bibs with BBQ tickets have been given out. 9. CONTINUE WITH STEP 7 ABOVE BIB PICK UP FOR MVP Health Care Run For Fun 1. Collect waiver and ask for their name. 2. Cross their name off the registration list. 3. Give them one raffle ticket and one MVP health care bib (number does not matter). 4. Offer them any old Race to the Top T-­‐Shirt (free of charge)! 5. Tell them to be ready to race outside the Rusty Nail at the CTA flags on the bike path at 12:00 noon. RACE DAY REGISTRATION FOR MVP Health Care Run For Fun 1. Collect waiver and have them fill out registration form. 2. Collect registration with payment of $10 cash, check, or CC. 3. Add their name to the registration list. 4. Give them one raffle ticket and one MVP health care bib (number does not matter). 5. Offer them any old Race to the Top T-­‐Shirt (free of charge)! 6. Tell them to be ready to race outside the Rusty Nail at the CTA flags on the bike path at 12:00 noon. 7. After 12pm, all old shirts will continue to be sold at this table.
