SimulationAdvancedTutorial: howtosimulatedetectors
chaired by Gloria Corti (CERN)
from Tuesday, 21 February 2012 at 10:30 to Wednesday, 22 February 2012 at 18:00
(Europe/Zurich)
at CERN ( 3894-R-008 )
Description The scope of the tutorial is to provide an advanced introduction that would allow people to start carring out
detector studies for the current and for the upgrade detector.
The focus will be mostly on Gauss, Boole but also on the common software aspects and tools one has to know in
order to evaluate a new or modified detector.
The format of the tutorial is to have session with a set of lectures followed by time for questions and 'free' time to
try out what just learned. The lecturers will be present to answer additional questions and provide help during this
'free' time.
