The Malthouse is a fully accessible building with a lift and accessible doorways.
Directions by foot from Barking Station (mainline rail, District or Hammersmith & City underground
lines): The Malthouse is a 15-minute walk from the station. Turn right out of the station into Station
Parade and carry on straight down through East Street - the main pedestrianised shopping / market
street (passing McDonald’s on your right and the Court House on your left). At the end of East
Street, turn left into Broadway.
Carry on along Broadway
and you’ll see The
Broadway Theatre ahead
on your left and St
Margaret’s Church /
Barking Abbey grounds
on your right, across the
road. Cross over and
walk ahead on the path
through the green, which
runs alongside the
primary school.
Bear left and you’ll see
Town Quay Wharf
buildings across the road,
with a sign for Galleon
Café. Cross over and
walk past the café on
your right, past the blue
roofed industrial area,
and The Malthouse is the
next big building on the
right, at the back of a
large, gated pebble car
park.

Directions by car: Situated in East London, The Malthouse has excellent transport links being close
to the junction of A13 (Arterial Road) with A406 (North Circular Road).
From A13 (east or westbound), take Movers Lane and turn left into A123 (Ripple Road). Follow
Ripple Road bearing left into St Paul's Road. Go straight over the large roundabout and bear sharp
LEFT into Abbey Road and you’ll see Town Quay Wharf buildings across the road, with a sign for
Galleon Café. Drive past the café, past the blue roofed industrial area, and The Malthouse is the
next building on the right, at the back of a large, gated pebble car park.
The Malthouse car park has spaces for approximately 35 vehicles. Please be advised that there are
parking restrictions on neighbouring roads.
