November 1, 2012 How To Install Live Cams Pro is a universal iOS application that is available for purchase on iTunes. A single purchase can be installed on multiple iOS devices as long as they share the same iTunes account. 1. To download the app, select the App Store icon on your device. image 1.1 2. Select the Search icon along the bottom, and type “Eggman Technologies” in the Search area beside the magnifying glass at the top. Devices that have optical zoom capabilities can be controlled with in-app icons. **FI8908W cameras are no longer produced, FI8904W, FI8905W,FI8906W can turn ONOFF LEDs only in cameras released after Oct. 2012, FI8601W, FI8602W cameras can connect external microphone, speaker and PT holder. How To Add Your Camera into Live Cams Pro 1. Make sure that your camera works in a browser outside of the app and is a supported model as per chart 1.1 Supported Models and Features. image 1.3 2. November 1, 2012 4. Select the Actions/Help icon on the bottom right, then the Show Tips button if you would like to see a tip display for each field as you tap through them. The tips are: Profile: Choose your camera make/model Name: Enter a name of your choice for the camera Host or IP:Your camera’s IP address or DNS host name (do not enter any url characters like http:// or others) Port: Your camera’s HTTP port Username: Camera login username Password: Camera login password Refresh rate: Grab a frame every X seconds on cell networks image 1.5 For example, if you connect to your camera in a browser using the following URL: http://smith.dyndns.tv:8000 you would enter Host: smith.dyndns.tv Port:8000 If no port is specified ie. http://smith.dyndns.tv then the Port field should be entered as 80 (default port). 5. November 1, 2012 After you have selected a camera profile you will be returned to the main Add Camera screen (image 1.6) 6. Populate the remaining fields. (refer to step 4. for tips on what to enter for each field). 7. Select Save. You will now be returned to the thumbnail screen. Tap the thumbnail to view your camera fullscreen and control the camera! image 1.7 Frequently Asked Questions 1. I want to view my camera when I’m away from home. How do I do this? image 1.8 Please refer to the manual that was provided with your Foscam camera. There is a section on how to setup and configure your DNS settings in order to view your camera on 3G. You would then enter the DNS host name in the host or IP field instead of the IP address as per step 4. in the section How To Add Your Camera into Live Cams Pro of this document. Is there an easier way to add my camera into Live Cams Pro? You could try selecting the Scan button at the bottom of the Add Camera screen. It will search to see what devices are available on your local network and will provide the IP address along with the profile the camera might possibly be compatible with. Note: Currently it will only find certain models and you may still need to choose the correct profile yourself. image 1.6 3. I only want to hear the audio from my camera if the volume reaches a certain level. Is there a way to do this? Yes. When you are viewing the camera select the megaphone icon. This will take you to an Alerts screen. You are referring to Squelch which can be set by moving the indicator towards the plus sign. November 1, 2012 4. I would like to receive a notification if the volume exceeds a certain level. Is this possible? Yes. On the Alerts screen you can adjust the slider (labelled Alerts). The farther you move the indicator towards the plus sign, the higher the volume that is required to have a notification appear.
