CONDITIONS TO COURSE BOOKINGS:
To reserve your place, full payment MUST be received no less than 14 days
prior to commencement of course. After that date unpaid places will be
offered to other couples.
If you need to withdraw from the course, you are required to give at least
12 days notice otherwise a refund WILL NOT be issued.

PREPARE - Professional Relationship Evaluation

The PREPARE Relationship Evaluation involves two one hour
sessions and is completely private. It helps identify the strengths
and work areas in your relationship. The first session involves each
individual separately completing an extensive questionnaire covering
all facets of their relationship. The results and feedback are worked
through with the facilitator in the second session. The cost is $260
per couple. All sessions are held at Coburg. A certificate is presented
upon the completion of two sessions of PREPARE. An option of a

Understanding Cross-Cultural Relationships
When 2 people come together in a relationship, they bring to it their
own personality, values, expectations and family baggage. These differences often need to be negotiated in order to coexist in harmony
so that each person feels respected and appreciated. The manner in
which we understand, welcome and communicate these differences
as a couple will play a pivotal role in determining how effectively we
incorporate cultural issues as they arise in our everyday lives including parents and inlaws. In collaboration with the Australian Greek
Welfare Society (AGWS), couples and/or individuals are invited to
attend a FREE Information Seminar at our Coburg venue addressing
issues arising from cross-cultural relationships. Your family members

RELATEWELL Courses
When you choose to attend a RELATEWELL course, you demonstrate
the strength of your commitment to one another. In these times of
“throw-away” relationships, is your commitment strong enough for
both of you?
Topics offered: Couples at each course choose the specific issues they
wish to explore. Some popular choices are:
 communication; conflict resolution and decision-making
 exploring expectations; designing a marriage that works for both
of us
 mixing different family backgrounds and family influence
 recognising and meeting needs: your needs, my needs, our needs
 coping with stress
 budgeting and financial planning
 the impact of marriage models - working wives, individual careers,
the mobile society and the nuclear family, feminism, reasons for marrying.
You explore your relationship strengths and practise the skills required
to make changes in areas you wish to improve. Working as a couple, as
well as in small groups, allows you to share common experiences and
issues at a comfortable level. All courses are approved and part funded
by the Commonwealth Department of Families, Housing, Community
Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).
