For each Like, your customers will get the discount according to the discount coupon (coupon code) that has been set by you in the admin settings page. Once the site is shared using the social network, a thank you message appears and a discount is given on the total of customer’s billed amount. Requirements Wordpress Version Requires at least: 3.2 Tested up to: 3.4 WP e-Commerce Version: 3.8.8 3.8.7 Admin Settings Once you have enabled the plugin in your wordpress store, the “Viral Coupon” link will appear in the left panel. The configuration parameters on the settings page will be empty until they are set. The option to Like your wordpress store will not be available on the checkout page till the configuration parameters are set correctly. On the settings page, we can see different configuration parameters for the plugin. Below is an explanation for each of these configuration parameters: I. Message: This is the welcome message that will appear on your wordpress store website’s checkout page. In above case, the message that will appear is “Get $5 off your order if you like or share.” II. Select Coupon code: If you have not added any coupon codes in your WP e-Commerce store yet, you will need to add them from the Products -> Coupons link. You can select any one of the multiple discount coupons created here. Your customer will get the discount depending on which coupon code is selected in this field. IV. Thank you message: Here you can write the message that will appear on the checkout page after the customer has gained the discount clicking the “Like” button. V. Test Mode: Once a customer has shared your store’s URL through this plugin & earned a discount, you might not want the customer to do the same thing again. When “Test Mode” is Disabled, the coupon box will not appear again to the customer once they have shared it. If you don't want the Coupon box to disappear after it has been liked, please Enable test mode. Keep this option Enabled only while you are testing this plugin on your store. Once the pre-requisites are satisfied & the Viral Coupon plugin is installed & activated, the following box is added on top of the checkout page. After the customer shares about your wordpress store, the below box will be hidden & the thank you message will be shown to the customer. Note: The above box on the checkout page will be disabled after the customer has liked or shared once. Only when the “Test Mode” is set to “Enable”, the share box will be visible every time the customer comes to the checkout page. Below is a step-wise procedure that your customer will follow for getting the discount through Facebook “Like” button: Facebook If a customer wants to share on Facebook about your store: I.
