How to use DNSdynamic for remote access?
Step 1: Apply a free account for camera from https://www.dnsdynamic.org/ .

Type in email, password and captcha to register.

Check the email and validate your account.

Step 2: Log into DNSdynamic and click ‘add’ to add a domain.

Create a domain name.

The domain name will correspond to the current internet IP address
automatically. And click ‘add’.

Step 3: Set a static IP address for camera. Log into for administrator Basic
Network Settings.
IP Address’ first three numbers are the same as router, the last number is
between 1~255 and it’s unique on local area network.
Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0. Gateway and DNS Server are the same as
computer. It’s the IP address of router.
Click ‘Submit’ to save the settings.
Step 4: Set port forwarding on router for camera. In this case, forward port
8090 on router’s administration page for camera (192.168.11.163). Click
‘save’ to save settings.
Port forwarding is mostly on Port Forwarding or Virtual Server section of
router’s administration page, it’s up to different routers.

Step 5: Access camera with http://dnsdynamic domainname:port number
remotely. In this case, it’s http://tech3-hallie.dnsdynamic.com:8090/ .

Currently, Foscam camera does not support DNSdynamic Server. When the
internet IP address changes, hostname cannot sync with the new one.
There are 4 ways to keep your DNS records up to date.
1.) Through the secure management web interface.
2.) Using the secure webclient ( will resize browser ).
3.) By using the simple API.
4.) Direct from Windows using;
- WinDNSdynamic.exe (GUI) client.
- DNSdynamic.exe client.
