How to Add Your Own Project to the My Audubon Web Mapping Application 6/9/2014
All members of the Audubon Network are invited to enter their conservation projects into the My
Audubon web mapping application. By doing so, you will demonstrate Audubon’s strength and reach
across the country, and also help Audubon staff better serve you with your GIS needs.
STEP 1: Visit the My Audubon website located here:

STEP 2: If you see a screen like this:

Sign in with your Audubon ArcGIS Online Account. If you don’t already have an account you find
out more about Audubon’s ArcGIS Online Account information here:

and fill out the web form to sign up here:

If you do have an existing ArcGIS Online Account or if you just signed up please fill in your profile
information including:
Name
Chapter
Email address
Address
Phone Number
*It is very important to have user information. Without it we won’t be able to provide support your
ArcGIS Online Account*
STEP 3: Once you have signed into ArcGIS Online, the My Audubon crowdsourcing web mapping
application will open:
STEP 4: To add your own conservation project, click on the green circle with a silhouette of a bird in the
upper left menu bar, so “NAS.DBO.My_Audubon” is selected and displays a light blue box.
Click here
STEP 5: Use the “+”symbols to zoom in to your location. As you zoom to your Chapter conservation
project location, a “Click to add a point” text icon will hover next to your cursor.
Step 6: Click “Click to add a point” to add your conservation project and fill in the appropriate fields.
Step 7: If you would like to view other conservation projects around the Audubon network, click the edit
layer off by clicking the “NAS.DBO.My_Audubon” button so it isn’t editable and you will be able to click
on other chapter conservation project points.
