How to install files(.fp7or .fmp12 files) on an iPad/iPhone/iPod to FM Go First, install FileMaker Go from the iTunes store. Then you can install the files one of three ways. iTunes Method (install multiple file formats fmp, fmp12, .pdf, .jpg, .mov, etc.) Connect your iPad/iPhone/iPod to your computer and open iTunes 2. Click on Apps 3. Scroll down to File Sharing 1. Select your iPad/iPhone/iPod 4. Select FileMaker Go 5. Click Add… to select the files you want to add. 6. Navigate to where the files are located, then select the files you want to install to the iPad/iPhone/iPod. On a PC hold down the Control (Crtl) key to select multiple files or on a Mac use the Command key to select multiple files. You can also install other files such as PDF, video or picture. Files can also be renamed in iTunes. 5. Click Open to install the files Dropbox Method (only install .fmp12 or .fmp) Copy the files to Dropbox 1. Touch the file you want to install from the Dropbox list. 2. Dropbox will attempt to open the file but you will get an “Unable to view file” message because Dropbox does not know what App to use to open the file. 3. Touch here to get a list of Apps to open the file. 4. Select FileMaker Go Email Method (only install .fmp12 or .fmp) Attach the file to an email and send it to you iPad/iPhone/iPod 2. Touch Open in “FileMaker Go”. 1. Touch the attached file All Dropbox and Email method will automatically open the files in FileMaker Go When you open FileMaker Go on an iPad, the program will open to this screen. When you want to close the program, open another file or switch to another file, touch here. Touch the file you want to open in either the Files on Device or Recent Files sections Touch Files to return to the opening file screen. Touch to close the file Touch the screen to fully open the file. Swipe across the screen to move from one open file to another. When you open FileMaker Go on an iPhone or iPod, the program will open to this screen. Select a file from the Recent Files list. If you don’t see the file you want, touch Open File Browser… and then Files on Device to select a file.
