February 2014 saw 25 homes trade hands in
Penticton, which is a 19.05% increase over Feb. 2013.
This is the second busiest start to the year that we
have experienced in the past 6 years. The entire South
Okanagan was very busy as well with 64 homes
trading hands in February, a 60.00% increase over the
same period last year. Whether it be the weaker
Loonie keeping people from buying retirement homes
in the US, or the fantastically low interest
rates,(2.99%) for 5 year mortgages, or the Real Estate
Cycle, rest assured that the several years of sluggish
sales and softening prices has come to an end. If you
are thinking of buying a home in the South
Okanagan, we will not see the opportunities available
again for several years, that we are seeing this spring.
