How to Read This Comparo Trio

How to Read This Comparo Trio
Mobility Management invited manufacturers and distributors of
standing frames, standing wheelchairs and gait trainers to submit
photos and information about their products.
• Information in this comparo was self selected and reported by
the manufacturers.
• If information does not apply or is not available, N/A is noted.
• Weights and weight capacities (i.e., the maximum weight of the
consumer using the device) are given in pounds (lbs.).
• Linear measurements including lengths and widths of products and seat widths/depths are listed in inches. Multiple measurements for a single specification can indicate that the model
or device is available in more than one size.
• Options & Accessories listed may be included as standard or
available at a separate cost. Options are listed as space permitted; additional options may be available.
• Target demographic refers to examples of end users who
could benefit from these products. Manufacturers were asked
to supply brief examples, and other applications beyond those
16 april 2013 | mobilitymanagement
listed may be possible.
• For Standing Frames: Information in column 6 indicates if the
stander is mobile; if it has a mobile option; and whether or not
it can be self propelled.
• For Standing Wheelchairs: Information in column 3 indicates
if the chair is manual or powered. For power chairs, the turning radius (in inches) is included. If the chair is manual, the total
weight of the chair (in lbs.) is included.
• For Gait Trainers: Widths refers to the gait trainer's width at its
widest point.
These three comparos are intended to be starting points and
references for seating & mobility providers and clinicians as they
consider different standing and gait-training possibilities.
Submissions were edited for style and to fit within the space
allotted. For more complete product information and additional specifications, options, accessories and details, please consult
the manufacturers directly using the Sources Guide at the end
of the comparo.
