How to check a version of the toolchain being used in HEW This page describes how to check a version of the toolchain you are currently using in HEW. The following 2 confirmation methods are available. ・Check versions of toolchains which are registered in HEW as components. If you have installed several compiler packages on your PC, there may be possible that several versions of the toolchains exist. You can check versions of the toolchains registered in HEW, which you are currently using. ・Check a version of toolchains which is currently being used to create HEW project You can check a version of toolchains, which are currently being used to create project in HEW. 1, How to check versions of toolchains which are registered in HEW as components You can check versions of toolchains registered in HEW, which you are currently using. [How to check] Select [Tools] from HEW tool bar, then select [Administration] from the pop-up menu. Select [Administration] [Tools Administration] window is started up. This window shows a list of the components which are registered in HEW you are currently using. You can check the versions of the toolchains by clicking [Toolchains] from the components list. On this window, you can check that the following versions of the toolchains are registered in HEW. ・ SuperH RISC engine Standard Toolchain Ver.7.1.2.0 ・ H8S, H8/300 Standard Toolchain Ver.5.0.2.0 The toolchains names and those versions registered in HEW are described. 2, How to check a version of toolchain which is currently being used to create projects in HEW You can check a version of toolchain, which is currently being used to create projects in HEW. [How to check] Right-click on an icon of the project on HEW workspace window to open a pop-up menu, and select [Properties]. Select [Properties] [Properties] window is started up, and the window shows the toolchain name and its version. In the following case, you can check that you are currently using SuperH RISC engine Standard Toolchain Ver.7.1.2.0 to create a project “sample_test” in HEW.
