How to get to the hospital
By Bus
The Western General Hospital is between
Crewe Road South and Telford Road in
the Craigleith area of Edinburgh. Many
buses go into, or near to, the hospital
site but as services change over time,
contact Traveline Scotland on 0871 200

There are designated parking spaces for
patients and visitors. Disabled parking and
the car park specially for cancer patients
are marked on the map. However, overall
there is not much parking at the hospital
and it may be difficult to find a space. We
would ask those who live in the Edinburgh area to travel, if possible, by bus or
arrange to be dropped off by car. Park
and Ride schemes are also available from
Ferrytoll (Fife), Ingliston, Sherriffhall or
Straiton. For details of buses from Park

By Rail
Edinburgh Waverley is about 20 minutes
away from the hospital by car or taxi,
and about 30 minutes by bus. For train
