How to make your FFWD Wheels Shimano 11 speed compatible!
For those riding 10 speed compatible FFWD Wheels wanting to upgrade to Shimano 11 speed, FFWD Wheels offers 11 speed
upgrade kits for both the FFWD hubs and the DT Swiss hubs.
FFWD HUBS:
To make the 10 speed FFWD hubs 11 speed compatible, only the freehub body has to be replaced by the new 11 speed freehub body. The end cap remains the same as used with the FFWD 10 speed body.
DT SWISS HUBS:
To make the 10 speed DT SWISS hubs 11 speed compatible, the freehub body and the end cap needs to be replaced by the
new 11 speed freehub body and end cap.
After doing this upgrade, it is needed to check the dish of the wheel. It may be that the wheel is out of dish after this upgrade.
An experienced dealer can re-dish the wheel or this can be done at FFWD wheels.
