art by architects 2011 Welcome to the fourth annual Exhibit A: Art by Architects. We are thrilled to honor, for the second year in a row, COCA and its Urban Arts Outreach Programs as our beneficiary. Both Cannon Design and COCA share a common desire to do something bigger than ourselves. COCA accomplishes this in our community in a myriad of outstanding ways. We know that providing arts programming free of charge to 3,000 children, who would not otherwise have had access to such programs, is a mission that cannot be sustained without community contributions. Cannon Design is very excited to assist in the effort. This year, we again dedicate all the proceeds from sales of artwork to support the Arts—an endeavor that also reflects who we are. Architects are artists at heart. This event is based on the concept that notable architects locally and from around the world would be willing to donate signed drawings and sketches for a worthy cause. Our first two Exhibit A events were devoted to Education, by supporting the compelling mission of De La Salle Middle School, located in the Ville neighborhood in north St. Louis, to work with exceedingly challenged young people. We will continue that legacy with the proceeds of two pieces of artwork being committed to support their work. On behalf of all the people who have worked so hard to make this event a success, we welcome you to Exhibit A. While the artwork looks good here, it would look even better in your home. Exhibit A offers, for the fourth time in St. Louis, original signed drawings and sketches by notable architects in St. Louis and from around the world. It’s all very cool. It’s all by amazing talent.
