Brian Seligmann has more than 20 years experience in IT and Telecommunications having worked for Apple for nearly 10 years and MTN & Cell C for the last 10 years. He was responsible for MTN’s data products and strategy and launched all of MTN’s data products from HSCSD to HSPA and also ensuring a successful business case for the MTN South Africa 3G network. He holds a Masters degree in Engineering. Dawood Patel is currently responsible for defining and implementing 8ta's digital footprint across multiple channels. He has been in the telecoms arena since 2001 starting off a mobile applications developer at the IQ Business Group. He has since been involved in the products and services discipline for Nashua Mobile and iBurst .He holds a BSc Computer Science Degree. Lany Sommers is the Business Development Manager in Africa for Research In Motion (RIM). Her focus is mainly on growing and supporting the developer community within Africa. She has worked for RIM since June 2000. She moved to London in 2006 to develop the Swiss market and work with a UK carrier to develop their enterprise and partner businesses. After working with Orange Group as an Operations Manager she is now leading Business Development in Africa. Gift Mphefu is the Managing Director of Med-TechEngineers, an independent Healthcare Technology Consulting firm which also focuses on ICT systems for the healthcare industry. He previously worked for Vodacom SA, and is proud to have contributed towards the development of the mobile App-Ecosystem in SA. Gift launched the first carrier Mobile Applications Developer Programme in Sub-Saharan Africa.
