Our dedicated construction centre, located in Aston, Birmingham will provide
training in a number of areas for up to 2,000 people per year.
Courses will range from one-day programmes to four-year
apprenticeships. Students will be able to learn from a range of
subjects including technical trade skills, emerging technologies,
health & Safety, supervisor skills and energy efficiency
as well as employability skills such as IT and
CV writing.
A series of community programmes
and DIY sessions will also be run at
the centre.

Willmott Dixon 4Life Academy
officially opened on 30th January 2013
in a 14,000 sq ft property at Electric
Avenue in Aston.
As one of the UK’s largest privately owned companies
specialising in construction, development and support

Willmott Dixon Partnerships is Willmott Dixon’s repairs
and maintenance specialist, providing services to over
170,000 homes. Working with a portfolio of
customers including Local Authorities and
Registered Providers, our services include:

The new academy will offer training programmes
ranging from short courses in electrical compliance
and renewable technology to life-time skills such as
NVQ and City & Guilds qualifications.
Willmott Dixon Partnerships is currently working with
Birmingham City Council to repair and maintain 60,000
properties in the city.
We have worked in partnership with Birmingham City
Council since 2008 and continually invest in our local
communities. In 2012 we invested almost £300,000
through a combination of staff time, apprentices,
volunteering and direct support for community projects.
The next phase of this is the Willmott Dixon 4Life Academy,
capable of training 2,000 people a year, which we hope will
create new opportunities for many people across
Birmingham and the West Midlands.
The academy will also provide accreditation onto the
Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS). The facility
will be used to train Willmott Dixon staff and will be open to
external groups such as colleges, community groups and local
residents. It will also be open for outside business via our supply
chain and partner organisations.
This guide will take you through the range of short courses we offer in
renewables, gas training, electrical and plumbing. You can also study
health and safety, construction management and building maintenance
courses with us.
The Willmott Dixon 4Life Academy will be working with City & Guilds
and the British Plumbing Employers Council (BPEC) after it became one
of the first construction companies approved as a registered BPEC
training centre provider.

Green Deal:
The Green Deal is a new Government backed scheme expected to
result in the retrofit of 14 million homes by 2020 in an attempt to
cut CO2 emissions in housing by 29% and 13% in workplaces.
The Green Deal was launched in October 2012 and will allow
individuals and businesses to make energy efficient
improvements to their properties at no extra cost.
