What is the Kent Contact
and Assessment Service?
The Kent Contact and Assessment Service is
the main access point for people wanting to
contact Adult or Children’s Services
concerning themselves or others. If you are
currently involved with Adults or Children’s
Services, you can contact the person you are
involved with directly, but if you want to make
a new contact or new referral, you will need to
contact the Kent Contact and Assessment
Service.
Do you need help?
Sometimes people contact Kent County
Council for assistance if, for instance:
m Children need protection
m Families are under stress
m Children are seriously ill or disabled
m People with disability need advice or
support
m People are unable to look after themselves
properly
m Carers need assistance with caring for a
vulnerable adult
m Vulnerable adults need protection because
they are frightened or worried by something
