HOW-TO INSTRUCTIONS 734N-WiFi How-To Programming Instructions Accessing the XR100/XR500 Programming Menu 1. Momentarily place the Reset jumper over both of the J16 pins to reset the panel. 2. Enter the code 6653 (PROG) and press COMMAND. 3. The keypad displays: PROGRAMMER. Programming the 734N-WiFi into the XR100/XR500 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. Go to Network Options. COMMAND through the options until Local IP Address is displayed. Write down the Local IP Address of the panel to use when programming the 734N-WiFi module. COMMAND through the options until 734N Listen Port is displayed. Enter the port number that the 734N-WiFi will use to send communication to the panel. Default is 2002. Write down the port number, as this must be the same port that is programmed in Panel IP Port within the 734N Communication programming menu. Press COMMAND to display 734N Passphrase. Note: The 734N-WiFi Listen Port cannot be the same as the panel network programming port. Enter an 8 to 16-character Passphrase to encrypt and allow communication with the 734N-WiFi module. The 734N Passphrase must match the 734N Passphrase entered in Communication programming of the 734N-WiFi. Note: A passphrase is required for communication to occur with the panel. Exit Network Options and COMMAND to Device Setup. Enter the device number of the 734N-WiFi you are programming. The valid range is 2-16. Enter a device name. To add a device name, press any Select key. The default device name (DEVICE x) displays. Select COMMAND to accept the default name or press a Select key to enter a new name up to 32 alphanumeric characters. Press the COMMAND key when finished. For Device Type, select DOOR. For Device Communication Type, select NETWORK. Exit Device Setup. COMMAND through options until STOP. Exit programming. Accessing the 734N-WiFi Communication Programming Menu 15. Plug a keypad into the 734N-WiFi. The keypad must be programmed as Address 1. The version and release date display. 16. Enter the code 6653 (PROG) and press COMMAND until the Communication Menu displays. At the Communications Menu, press a Top Row key to enter the menu. Programming the 734N-WiFi Note: Before programming the 734N-WiFi, obtain the Service Set Identification (SSID), the Wireless Security Type, and the Wireless Network Key from the wireless router or a network administrator. 17. Program the 734N-WiFi module using the 734N-WiFi Installation Guide (LT-1213) and make note of the following: 18. At the Panel IP Address prompt, enter the same IP Address of the panel that you wrote down in step 5 above. 19. At the Panel IP Port prompt, enter the same IP Port you wrote down in step 7 above. Note: The Panel IP Port cannot be the same as the panel network programming port. 20. At the 734N Passphrase prompt, enter the same passphrase you entered in step 8 above. 21. At the SSID prompt, enter up to 32 characters for the SSID key that identifies the wireless network. 22. At the W/L Security prompt, press any select key to display the four wireless security options. Press the COMMAND key to choose the fifth option, NONE. 23. If you choose a wireless security option, the W/L Key prompt displays. Press any select key to enter a wireless network key. 24. Exit programming when finished. Check Connection Status 25. At the version and release date display, press COMMAND. 26. Select Yes at the Menu? option. 27. Press a Top Row key when CONNECT STATUS is displayed. 28. If connected to the panel, the 734N-WiFi will display a Transmit time. If there is a problem with the connection, it will display NOT CONNECTED.
