How to Identify My Digital Video Product
If you do not know what model of digital video product you have, there are 4
ways to determine the model name. The models available for an upgrade are
listed below.
Note: Models such as DSR2000e, DSR1000eZ, SymNet, SymDec1 and
SymDec4 each have a single main firmware file for that particular
model. There is no need to determine a specific model name that
includes camera inputs. All 2nd generation DSR2000e and
DSR1000eZ units use the same main firmware file.

1. Look at the manufacturing sticker on the bottom of the unit and note the
model. For Digi-4 the manufacturing sticker is on the rear panel of the
recorder. The examples below show: SDVR-4A-40 and VSR-300.

2. Look in the System View or
Operator menu and select
“About”.
For DVMRe-CT, DVMRE-CT II
or DVMRe PRO:
For DVMRe-eZT and all
StoreSafe models. The
StoreSafe models do not show if
it is a 4, 10 or 16 channel unit.
That you can determine by
looking at the front panel
camera buttons.
For SymDec1, SymDec4 and DSR.
3. The model name is also printed on the front
panel. If the model name is generic such
as DVMRe Triplex you will need to use one
of the above methods to determine the
proper model.
4. Use Internet Explorer to connect to the unit and view the home
page. You can also look at the Info, Properties or About page.
