What is a Stationing Elder?
Stationing Elders are elected leaders of the National Conference who together with the
Conference Ministers and Bishop comprise the Stationing Committee. Your Stationing Elder has
been assigned by your Conference Minister to work with you. He will guide you through the
stationing process, prepare your PRC for interviews and provide counsel as you select your next
pastor. Specifically, your Stationing Elder will:

Assist in the stationing process:

By interviewing pastors seeking reassignment
1.2
By preparing pastors for local church interviews
1.3
By assisting you as you complete the CHIP
1.4
By interviewing your PRC
1.5
By facilitating your pastoral candidate interview(s)
1.6
By making himself available to offer immediate post-interview counsel to your PRC
2.
Confirm pastoral salary packages at your church’s Local Conference meeting which is
completed before the appointment is confirmed.
If, at any time in the stationing process, you have questions or concerns about the service
your Stationing Elder is providing, you are encouraged to discuss your concerns with the Stationing
Elder. If you are not satisfied with his response, you may direct your concern to your Conference
Minister. Stationing Elders report directly to our Conference Ministers.
