Welcome to West End Baptist Church
If you’re visiting with us this morning, we’re glad you're here! As our guest,
please feel no obligation to give an offering.
Sunday Morning Children’s Ministries
With the exception of Welcome, these programs start partway through our worship service.
•
Welcome (for infants and toddlers up to and including age 2) is located
on the second level above the Brian Coldwell Room. Caregivers are in
the “Welcome Circle” from 10:30 onwards but your little ones are welcome in the corporate worship service, especially during opening worship time.
•
Wonder (ages 3-4) meets in the double classroom upstairs across the
hall from the nursery.
•
Discover (ages 5-8) meets in the Brian Coldwell Room.
•
Flyte (for grades 4-6) is our Life Group Bile Study for pre-teens. Flyte
meets in the music room just beyond the washrooms on the main level.

Baptism — Next Sunday, June 16 is Father's Day. Perhaps you are
already planning how to celebrate the day. It will also be a special day
here at West End. We will be celebrating with a Baptism Service. What
a privilege to rejoice with those who come to make their public profession of faith! Anyone else interested in getting baptized is encouraged
to speak with one of the pastors today.
We will conduct a Child Presentation/Parent Dedication Service on
Sunday, July 7. If you are interested in finding out more about this service and the possibility of having your family participate in one, please
contact Pastor Sandy.
Discover Parents and Leaders!
Please remember that you and your family are invited to join the
Discover Kids for an International Lunch today, June 9, in the Brian
Coldwell Room right after the morning worship service. The Discover
children, ages 5-8, just finished an exciting month of Mission Adventure. They learned about causes of, and solutions for, global hunger and
they sacrificially gave money to help hungry families in developing
countries plant kitchen gardens. Come to lunch and help us celebrate
the good work the children did!

Welcome News
We are excited about recent developments in our Welcome Circle
(church nursery for babies and toddlers). Not only are the children well
cared for, they are also taught basic principles about God’s love by our
trained caregivers. We are excited, too, about the growing number of children in the Welcome Ministry. Because our numbers are growing and our
teaching is becoming more intentional, only our care-givers and the children can be permitted in the nursery rooms. However, if the care givers
believe it is in the best interest of a child to have a parent stay with them,
the care givers will call for the parent.
Meanwhile, we set up a room across the hall from the Welcome Circle especially for nursing mothers and their infants. All the rooms have a
fresh, clean look. Restricted access to the nursery rooms helps us keep
them sanitized. We are grateful for our precious little ones and for the opportunity to partner with the loving parents and grandparents to nurture
their faith!
Where have you seen God’s transforming power in life?
That’s the question the Mosaic, Summer 2013 edition, asks. I’m sure we
each have our own answer to that question. I know I have an answer that fills
me with gratitude towards God, hope when times are tough, and eagerness to
tackle whatever the future may bring. The Mosaic sought an answer for this
question from various people including some members of the CBM Global
Field Staff, office staff, and board members. You can read their answers in the
Mosaic, available for free in the foyer. Meanwhile, ask yourself the same
question and share your answer with others. Let’s celebrate what God is accomplishing.
Cornerstone Housing Society

coming weekend. See you then!
