Ans: The basic requirement for an internet connection needs the following

Ans: The information is put on the internet in the form of digital pages

Ans: A web site is a collection of many web pages linked together.

6. What is a web browser?
Ans: A web browser is a special software application or program that allows

Ans: The World Wide Web refers to a network sites on the internet which

Locator (URL).
9. What is a search engine?
Ans: Search engine allow the user to enter a keyword related to the
information you required and search the web sites containing particular
information. These web sites are popularly known as search engines.

Ans: A presentation is a collection of slides arranged in a systematic order

13.How to create a new presentation?
Ans: Click on the Office button> New options> Select Blank presentation >
click on Create button.
14.How to save a presentation
Ans: Office button> Save option> Type name in the File name text box>
click on the save button
15.How to exit from a presentation?
Ans: Office button> Close option

Ans: 1) FD- Forward –It moves the turtle forward by the given number of
steps.

angle

24.What is cursor?
Ans: The small blinking vertical line on the screen is called cursor. It is also

26.How to insert a text in MS Word?
Ans: First place the cursor to the right of the character where you want to
insert the text and then type the text. The existing text which is placed after
the cursor will be shifted to the right side
27.How to move a text?
Ans: To move a text, first select the text then click on the cut button in the
clipboard group of home tab or press ctrl + X. Position the cursor at the
location where text is to be placed. Click on the paste button or press ctrl +
V. The selected text will appear in the new location.
28.Explain Memory?
Ans: The memory of a computer is of two types they are:
1. Internal memory
2. External memory
Internal memory is divided into two they are RAM and ROM. External
memory can be hard disk, CD, DVD, Blu-ray Disk, Flash drive
29.Explain Internal memory ?
Ans: Internal memory is also called primary memory or main memory. It is
the built in memory designed to store data and instructions while the
computer is working. There are two types of internal memory they are
1. RAM :- Random Access Memory, it stores the information temporarily.
The information stored in the memory is lost when the computer is turned
off or the power goes off.
2. ROM-Read Only Memory, it holds the start up instructions that prepare a
computer for use. The instruction stored in ROM cannot be changed but
can only be read. It retains the stored information even when the power is
switched off.
30.Explain external memory ?
Ans: It is used to store the information for longer period. It is also called the
secondary memory.
Example: Hard disk, CD, DVD
31.What is storage device?
Ans: The devices which is used to store the information of the computer is
called storage device. Example: hard disk, pen-drive, CD
32.What is binary digits?
Ans: A computer understand only two states ON or OFF and it is
represented by two digits 0s and 1s. There are called binary digits or bits.
