What is
Vic One?
The Vic One program offers first-year Arts and
Science students an opportunity for a unique
and interdisciplinary educational experience
in a small classroom setting.
 One year experience for first-year
students
 Vic One seminar courses and a corequisite
 Three first-year FCE’s (full course
equivalents) out of the five FCE’s taken by
most first year students
Vic One seminar courses are:
 Two FCE’s (full course equivalents)
 Limited enrollment of 25 students
in each class
Vic One co-requisite course:
 Dependent on stream
 Not limited to 25 students,
available to all first-year students

ALL Vic One Students
Once a week (Wednesdays 4pm-6pm),
all 200 Vic One students attend plenary
guest lectures
– These will be automatically added to your
schedule on ROSI
ALL Vic One Students
Vic One students are not eligible for
enrolment in any other “One” program
(Trinity One or UC One) or first-year
small seminar courses (e.g. FLCs,
Pathways or 199 courses)
– By participating in Vic One, students fulfill the
first-year seminar requirement which is
mandatory for all first year Victoria College
students
