What is VertiGarden? VertiGarden is a modular system that allows anyone to grow a vertical garden. The completely enclosed growing module, with built in irrigation, allows us to build living walls easily and cost effectively. The VertiGarden Module • • • • Each module is 400mm wide x 500mm tall and 90mm deep Covers an area 0.2 square metres Can be planted with up to 16 plants. Modular comprises of: plastic grow tray and lid encased in a metal frame, an irrigation string, universal brackets, screws, wall plugs, irrigation connectors and full planting and assembly instructions How does VertiGarden work? • • • • • The irrigation string is laid in the tray which is then filled with compost (approx 10 litres) Unit is then closed and secured at 12 points Module is planted and grown on in the horizontal position like any hanging basket until plants are established When ready - hang in the vertical position Internal irrigation is now used, connecting to a header tank or a pressure regulated micro drip irrigation system. VertiGarden Versatility? • Can be successfully planted with any size plant, from seedling to 9cm pot bedding. • Can even be sown direct with larger seeded subjects. • Provides seasonal colour - can be replanted for summer and winter use over and over again. • Can be planted with a wide range of plants ornamental & edible, annual & perennial VertiGarden Turning Vertical? • Can be mounted on almost any sound vertical surface • Brackets are secured with just 2 screws • A fully planted and watered VertiGarden module can weigh up to 10kg. • The universal brackets are also used to hang a second module from the bottom of the first. VertiGarden Irrigation? • Watered via the enclosed irrigation string, designed for low pressure operation. • Irrigation in the module can be via a water tank for one or 2 modules, or connected directly to a pressure regulated (1.5 bar) micro drip irrigation system • Irrigation strings can be connected allowing up to three modules (hung under one another) to be watered from one input.
