Our PASSION FOR
THIS PROJECT
is fueled by our desire
to see the Sanctuary—
the place where the
greatest number of
people meet together for
worship, teaching and
response—truly reflect
who we are as a church:
intergenerational, in
love with Jesus and each
other, wanting to engage
those of our community
in all ways practical and
spiritual.
We want this great room
to enhance what we do
inside it . . . not hinder it.
and now?
If you haven’t been part
of earlier Next Step and Beyond
the Next Step initiatives then
this is a great place to jump in
and put your prayer and financial
fingerprints all over the project.
If you have been part of what we’ve
already accomplished (buying
the apartments, new playground,
parking structure, re-doing the
Chapel, building the Commons
and more) then we say THANK YOU
again and again, and invite your
continued participation.
That’s what we meant about “short
and sweet” in the opening line.
From now until December 31 is a
short period of time to accomplish
this. But wouldn’t it be sweet to
see this goal achieved before we
flip the calendar to 2013?

WHEN
Our Elder Board has made a
commitment to postpone the start of the
project until 90% of the money is in but we’d like to
start as soon after the first of the year as possible.
So what that means is that we are not asking you to pledge what you’ll give—we are asking you
to give. We are asking each who calls this church “home” to have a conversation with the Father
about what He’s prompting you to do. And we’re daring to ask that it’s above and beyond what
would be your usual year-end giving to our General Fund.
