High Hopes is a 501(c)3 non-profit
agency serving typically-developing
children and children with special needs
or chronic diseases with an Inclusive
Preschool and on-site Pediatric Therapy
Clinic.
With over 28 years of excellence in
serving children and youth in Middle
Tennessee, High Hopes offers a
specialized environment for learning
and therapeutic services, where ALL
children have an equal opportunity to
attain lifelong success.
Preschool Program
High Hopes Preschool benefits both
typically-developing children and those
with special needs ages six weeks to
Pre-K. The eight-classroom preschool
has low pupil-to-teacher ratios and
instruction individualized for each child.
Degreed and experienced lead teachers
modify the curriculum to enrich highperforming students and adapt for those
who are developmentally delayed.
Brigance yearly assessments monitor
children’s progress and identify areas of
improvement.
Kindergarten Prepared
Results of a nationally-normed
Kindergarten readiness test
administered to our Pre-K classes
indicate the averaged score of ALL
students fell within the above-average
range, with the majority of scores in
the 80 to 99 percentiles. High Hopes
students leave our preschool not only
socially and emotionally well-adjusted,
but equipped for academic success!
Therapeutic
Programs
High Hopes offers unique, individualized therapy
services that build life-skills for personal growth,
education, and increased independence. In our stateof-the-art therapy clinic, children work one-on-one
with an experienced pediatric therapist to reach
goals and improve skills, while having fun! Therapy
sessions for preschool students are also conducted
within the classroom setting, to incorporate everyday
situations and peer interactions.
Occupational Therapy
The High Hopes
Difference
• Preschool students can receive therapy
services on-site
• Typically-developing siblings and
peers learn and grow with their friends with
special needs
• Parents need not leave work to take their
children to therapy or enroll their children in
separate preschool programs
• Families receive respite and emotional
support
• Both typically-developing and children
with special needs receive the appropriate
instruction to meet their individual
needs
• Because of the collaboration
between teachers, therapists, and
parents, children have greater
success
