Michelle Edwards with Lester Saegenschnitter You can also choose to enjoy your time at Concordia. I know it’s not that simple and there will be tough times, but if you can work through them and focus on the positives, you can make the most of the precious year or years you have left at this school. The best advice I can give you to do that is to get involved. Join a club, play a sport, help out with something or apply for one of the amazing trips the school offers. The community you have at Concordia is something special, so don’t take it for granted. I could say all the cliché things like it’s important to balance your school work with everything else, to manage your time well and to stop procrastinating, but you’ve probably heard these things a thousand times before. My final piece of advice however, is to listen to your teachers. Believe it or not, they want the best for you, and are always trying to help, so if they tell you something, it is probably useful.” Michelle Edwards 2013 College Dux (99.8 ATAR) International Student Enrolment Application Form Student Family Name: Student First Name: Student Date of Birth: / / Known as: n Male n Female OFFICE USE Receipt Number: ______________________________ Date: ______________________ STUDENT INFORMATION Address: Postcode: Religious Denomination: Country of Birth: Nationality: Passport Number: Present School: Proposed Year of Entry: Proposed Level of Entry: Year 08 09 10 11 12 Languages spoken at home in order of frequency: 1) 2) Do you authorise Concordia College to use your child’s image in promotional materials? n Yes n No Is Homestay accommodation required? At such a young age when I first arrived by myself, Concordia was a big family for me and it was the place that embraced and raised me. I met many inspirational teachers at Concordia, from whom I learnt how to value life and become a better person. I also made many good friends at Concordia and those good memories will stay with me for life. Concordia provided me with many valuable opportunities to develop my interpersonal skills. For example, I developed teamwork and leadership skills from participating extra-curriculum activities. Teachers and students at Concordia are very friendly and supportive. “I enjoyed the whole time I spent at Concordia College, the atmosphere of the College was like ‘family’. I had the chance to receive a music scholarship to study at Concordia. This brought me self-esteem, enthusiasm, and motivation to practice even harder. The most importance thing in my life is not only studying or working, but also building selfconfidence and dreams. I think high school years are the most important years in life. What I studied at Concordia and the support I received helped me discover “who I am“.
