A new way of doing business with the public sector for professional

A new way of doing
business with the public
sector for professional
services providers
In September 2012 the North East Procurement (NEPO) set up NEPRO – a nationally available
neutral vendor solution for public sector organisations to engage consultants, professional services
and interim support.
NEPRO manages a variety of consultancy, specialist professional
services and interim management requirements on behalf of
a range of public and third sector organisations across the UK.
Our driving principle is to ensure value for money for our clients
while providing them with a choice of experienced and reputable
suppliers in the market place that can work in partnership with
our clients to deliver their requirements in the most efficient way.
We recognise that each requirement may not be unique but the specific needs of each organisation
are and that’s why we work with a range of suppliers from large, multi-nationals to micro, niche
suppliers to provide our clients with choice.
Why become a
NEPRO accredited supplier?

How to become a NEPRO accredited supplier
The process is straightforward.
All you need to do is complete an
online application. Please note we
would recommend collating all of
your information prior to starting
the process.
We’ll require the following
information:
Registered company name,
address, VAT number, certificate
of incorporation.
Named representative
– contact details
Two supporting case studies
for each category that you have
registered against.
Two references for each category
that you have applied for, from
organisations that have used
your organisation for delivery of
services under that category.
Standard mandatory information
– equal opportunities, business
continuity, health and safety, quality
assurance and insurance certificates.
Details about previous work
with NEPO members and
associate members – used for
information only and not part of
the actual accreditation.
Following receipt of your application,
we will check all documents and
contact your referees.
We aim to let you know whether
you have been successfully accredited
ten working days after receipt of your
application; this is subject to a prompt
response from your referees and all
required documents having been
uploaded and up to date. We will
contact you directly if we need any
supplementary information.
If your application is successful, you
will receive details of opportunities
which match our client’s specification
and your company profile against the
categories that you have registered
for. If you have been unsuccessful in
your application, we will let you know
the reasons why so that you can
review your application.
When accredited, what next?
You will receive notification of any
requirement where your company
matches our client’s specification.
Our clients may require a
proposal for a selected number
of organisations, or in the case
of an interim position, may
want to interview a number of
potential candidates.
We will ensure you have a full
briefing for the requirement with
clear deadlines for response.
Following our client’s choice of
supplier we will contact you to either
go through the pre-assignment
briefing and contractual paperwork
or provide feedback on why you
were not successful.
Don’t delay, apply today!
