Training Course Information
The outline programme for the Kimbolton Fireworks One Day Training Course is set out below :
Please aim to arrive at the Mandeville Hall, Kimbolton by 10:15am. A map with directions is attached.The
Mandeville Hall (village hall) is located opposite Robinson’s Garage. Please note that there is extremely limited
parking at the venue, alternative parking can be found in the High Street, approx 200m. Lunch will be served in
the New Sun Inn situated on Kimbolton High Street, a short walk from the venue. Lunch and one free drink are
included in your course fee. Your Lunch/Drink voucher will be given to you at registration.

Kimbolton Fireworks One Day Training Course - Directions
By Road :
From the South :
A1(M) North from London approximately 45 mile from M25, trun left onto B645 (old A45) at St Neots
and follow this for 6 miles to Kimbolton. Travel along the High Street and go round the bends past the
church. The Mandeville Hall (village hall) on the left hand side, opposite Robinson»s Garage.
From the North :
A1(M) South from Peterborough direction. Turn right (East) at the Buckden roundabout (one junction
below the A1/a14 interchange). Follow this road for appox. 6 miles until it runs out at the B645 at Great
Staughton. Turn right and follow the road for 3 miles to Kimbolton. Travel along the High Street and go
round the bends past the church. The Mandeville Hall (village hall) on the left hand side, opposite
Robinson»s Garage.
From the East and West :
Follow the A14 to the A1 junction. Turn South onto the A1. Turn right (East) at the Buckden roundabout
(one junction below the A1/a14 interchange). Follow this road for appox. 6 miles until it runs out at the
B645 at Great Staughton. Turn right and follow the road for 3 miles to Kimbolton. Travel along the High
Street and go round the bends past the church. The Mandeville Hall (village hall) on the left hand side,
opposite Robinson»s Garage.
Parking :
There is limited parking at the Mandeville Hall for disabled persons only. Please try to find parking in the
High Street. Please avoid parking in the road outside the hall as the bend before is «blind» and a potential
«blackspot».
By Rail :
Take the train from Peterborough or King»s Cross to St. Neots. Taxis are available at the end of the
station but allow plenty of time as they can take a while to become available. The journey is
approximately 7 miles and may cost around £10-£15. Please remember to book a return taxi if necessary.
Afternoon firing site :
After lunch we will transfer to Kimbolton Airfield (disused) for a firing demonstration. It will be necessary
to travel by car and directions will be given on the day. For persons without transport, a lift can be
arranged.
