Elimination of 80050
Updated Provider Relations Representative Listing
1. Lab General Health Panel Fee Code 80050
In an effort to better align with the Kentucky Medicaid fee for service program, CoventryCares of
Kentucky will no longer require the General Health Panel CPT code 80050 for Hospital Outpatient Lab
Services and Ambulatory Surgical Centers. The separate CPT codes for the lab service(s) performed
should be billed separately. Claims will be adjudicated according to each provider’s contract terms and
by applying claims edits which include the National Correct Coding Initiative edits.
This change will be effective February 1, 2014
