This condition unit will continuously dehumidify a sample stream and rapidly separate the condensable liquids from the gases. The SICK SMAK is ideal for applications where a constant sample dewpoint and dryness rate must be maintained. Spiral tube heat exchanger Spiral tube heat exchanger and typhoon separator excels by ‡ Maximized heat transfer rate ‡ Quick formation of larger separable droplets ‡ Reduced contact surface of droplets ‡Lowest rate of soluble component SO2 ‡ Fast response on dew point changes ‡ Self cleaning, no fouling, noclogging ‡ Antifreezing cooling storage adsorbs peakloads SMAK features Compact, robust design in accordance with environmental and approval standards ‡ High cooling efficiency achieved by an internal airflow system even in high ambient temperatures ‡ Highly corrosion resistant sample tubing materials ‡ Protected against invasion by ambient corrosives ‡ Leakage-free operation confirmed by shockproof and field experience ‡ Monitoring system including reading of actual cooling temperature in °C or °F and potential free contacts providing unattended operation MKAS-64 analyzer cabinet Control unit H2O In Probe Out Out In Filter Meas. gas line Condensate GME 64 Condensate pump Condensate pump Gas conditioner Humidity sensor Condensate Condensate monitor Condensate container 10 l* Reference Air * Option SMAK Function Overview Ordering system General Data Max. sample inlet temperature 140 ... 180 °C * Max. sample inlet dewpoint 80 °C Outlet gas temperature 3 °C Outlet gas dewpoint 3 °C Ambient temperature 5 ... 45 °C Material of Gas Path: PVDF and Glass Operating pressure (absolute) Max. gas flowrate per gas path Max. sample inlet temperature Dead space per gas path Pressure drop per gas path 0.5 ... 2.5 bar 300 l/h ** 140 ... 180 °C 137 cm3 0.025 bar Material of Gas Path: Stainless Steel Operating pressure (absolute) Max. gas flowrate per gas path Max. sample inlet temperature Dead space per gas path Pressure drop per gas path * 0.5 ... 100 bar 500 l/h ** 180 °C 137 cm3 0.047 bar PVDF = 140 °C, Stainless steel = 180 °C; Glass = 180 °C are max. temperatures, Standard condition: 140 °C ** in accordance with standard conditions inlet gas temperature = 140 °C, inlet dewpoint = 65 °C, ambient temperature = 5-40 °C Device versions SMAK.. 6-mini 6-1 6-2/1 6-2 6-3 6-2-1 Ex 6-2-2 Ex dimensions[mm] 250x300x240 290x360x335 290x360x335 290x440x360 350x470x430 350x470x430 350x470x430 power consumption[W] 180 W 300 W 300 W 350 W 370 W 370 W 370 W Gas Cooler GME 73-1 1 Cooler 1 Type SMAK 6-mini SMAK 6-1 SMAK 6-2/1 SMAK 6-2 SMAK 6-3 SMAK 6-2-1 Ex SMAK 6-2-2 Ex Gas path 1 1 2 2 3 1 2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Ex-version Yes No 1 2 Material PVDF Glass Steel 1.4543 1 2 3 Power supply 230 V AC/50 Hz 230 V AC/60 Hz 115 V AC/50 Hz 115 V AC/60 Hz 1 2 3 4 Specials No Display via LED (not with Ex) External alert relais (only Ex) SICK AG • Environmental Monitoring• Nimburger Str. 11 • D-79276 Reute • Germany Tel.: (+49) 0 76 41/4 69 0 • Fax: (+49) 0 76 41/4 69 11 49 • www.sick.de 1 2 3 8 008 356/03-98/GB3/BW • Subject to change without prior prior notice Technical Data
