The city is almost a textbook of architecture as you can find all styles of building in Prague – from the
Romanesque to the latest Gehry creation. Prague is also home to other remarkable styles found almost
nowhere else in the world, e.g. Cubism. In fact, you can walk down entire streets built in the Cubist style.
Accessibility / compact size
You can easily fly direct to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, from all other European capitals in
an hour or two. And once you arrive in the city, the hotels, major attractions, conference centres and
other venues are just a few minutes bus ride away – or are often within walking distance.

History
Almost no other city in Europe can boast such a rich history. Founded in the 9th century, it was the seat
of Charles IV and Rudolf II who held the titles of Holy Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia. During
these periods in the 14th and 17th centuries the city played a central role in shaping the history of Europe.
Centuries of peaceful co-existence between Germans, Czechs and Jews from a wide variety of origins has
had a strong influence on the city.

Culture
Whether you're in Prague for a day, a week or a month, you'll be astounded by the selection of cultural
treasures on offer here. One of the largest libraries in the world is housed in the Strahov Monastery and
contains over six million books, some of which are absolutely priceless. The Strahov Library was the first
winner of the UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World Prize.
The National Gallery houses large collections from all eras of art history. And in the exhibition rooms of
Prague Castle you can admire the works of Dutch, French and Flemish masters.
Literature and its creators
Many visitors come to Prague to visit locations that still bear the traces of Franz Kafka. If you walk
through the streets of the still-sleeping city early in the morning, you can experience it just as Kafka
portrayed it in his books – mysterious and secretive. Kafka once described Prague as having claws. Once
she seized you in her grip, she would never let go. In the Czech language the city of Prague is feminine
and her "female" virtues have often been extolled by writers such as Seifert, Werfel, Kundera and others.
Food and drink
Good food and drink are important when travelling – and if your guests like beer, you couldn’t do better
than bring them to the Czech Republic, the home of Pilsner Urquell, the real Budweiser, Krusovice,
Prazan, Kozel and 100 other types of beer from small private breweries.
The Bohemian cuisine is tasty and substantial. However, you'll find plenty of restaurants that offer
nouvelle cuisine – and many of our native chefs have received international awards.

PROGRAMME
1st Day
Traditional welcome by a couple dressed in period costume is prepared at the airport before guests are
transferred to the hotel. After check-in and a short time to refresh guests meet in the hotel lobby and are
walked to the nearest tram stop for a short sightseeing ride by a nicely renovated vintage tram. Following
is a beer evening at the Prague’s most famous beer restaurant U Fleku.
Evening programme
Welcome to Prague, transfer to the hotel.
Guests are welcomed by a couple dressed in period costumes offering bread
and salt and traditional Czech herb liqueur Becherovka to the guests. After
that a short walk to the waiting coach and transfer to the hotel.

A vintage tram ride with accordion player
On board this quaint, wooden-framed restored vintage tram that dates from the beginning of the 20 th
century, you receive a unique impression of the city and its beautiful sights. An accordion player sets the
mood. The tram ride takes some 20 to 30 minutes.

U Fleků Beer Restaurant
The U Fleku Brewery and Restaurant is a unique establishment with
a long brewing tradition that dates back to 1499. The restaurant
area is divided into different rooms, each of which has its own rich
history and boasts unique decorations from important Czech artists.
The restaurant serves traditional Czech dishes along with the special
dark Flek’s beer. Traditional music complements the atmosphere of
the place in the evenings.

2nd Day
As today’s morning programme we suggest a walking tour of the city. The tour starts at the Prague
Castle where guests are welcomed by the famous Czech King Charles the IV. After a walk through the
Castle complex and visit to the monumental St. Vitus Cathedral the tour continues via Lesser Town and
Charles Bridge to the Old Town. Before exploring this most charming part of the city centre guests have
the opportunity to visit the National Marionette Theatre and watch a private performance of the Mozart’s
Don Giovanni. Lunch is served at one of the traditional Czech restaurants such as the Pilsner restaurant
in the Municipal House. Afternoon is at leisure. In the evening we invite guests for a farewell twenties
theme party at the beautiful Boccaccio ballroom.

Prague City Tour
King Charles IV welcomes you to Prague
King Charles IV, the Holy Roman Emperor, was the most important monarch in the
history of Kingdom of Bohemia. His reign was characterized by a transformation in the
nature of the Empire and is remembered as the golden age of Bohemia.
King Charles IV waits for guests near the Prague Castle. He has heard that important
guests are staying in town and therefore he would like to greet you in person and wish
you a pleasant and enjoyable time in Prague.
Prague Castle
Prague Castle is a national cultural monument and the largest castle complex in the world. It was
founded around 880 AD and is situated on a hill within the Hradcany district of Prague. It is an impressive
complex of ecclesiastical, residential and office buildings together with fortifications, representing all
architectural styles and periods with three castle courtyards and a total area of 45 hectares. Guests have
a chance to visit the impressive St. Vitus Cathedral – the largest church in Prague. From the Prague
Castle the tour makes its way down through the Lesser Town and continues across the Charles Bridge –
the oldest preserved Prague bridge and one of the symbols of the city.
 St. Vitus Cathedral is closed for visits on Sundays until noon.
Private performance & backstage visit at the National Marionette Theatre
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed the "Opera of Operas" Don Giovanni especially for Prague, where
he personally conducted its world premiere in 1787 at the Estates Theatre. The National Marionette
Theatre presents this brilliant opera in a unique version of classical marionettes. The production
celebrates the time of Mozart and the atmosphere of this era in the form of an authentic 18th century

spectacle, using tall marionettes, stylish period costumes and original stage effects. The performance is
presented in the original Italian libretto.
Upon arrival at the theatre, the guests are seated in the auditorium and greeted by the Director. After a
short introduction to the history of the one and only Marionette Theatre in Europe, the 8-minute private
performance of the Don Giovanni takes place.
Old Town
Follow our guide and let us show you the beautiful treasures of the Old Town – the historic centre of
Prague. From the National Marionette Theatre it is just a few steps to the Old Town Square. This
charming square with the famous Astronomical Clock and many picturesque houses in different
architectural styles is one of the main attractions of the city. Next off the tour heads towards the Estates
Theatre, where Mozart’s Don Giovanni was first performed in 1787. Last stop is the Municipal House, the
Art Nouveau jewel of the city.

Pilsner Restaurant in the Municipal House
Located in the basement of the impressive art-nouveau Municipal
House, the Pilsner restaurant is without doubt one of the most
beautiful beer halls in Prague. Tiled murals, wooden benches,
gleaming fittings and stained glass windows make this a perfect place
to taste traditional Czech cuisine along with the delicious Pilsner
Urquell beer on tap.

Evening programme
Gala Dinner at the Ballroom Boccaccio
The history of this venue is closely associated with the history of Prague itself. The original GRAND
HOTEL STEINER built in 1925 was the top address to stay in Prague, and the English five o’clock tea in
the ornate Boccaccio Ballroom soon became a high-society ritual. In the evening the neo-baroque
Ballroom would turn into the most popular night club of the interwar period.
Boccaccio has been restored to all its 1925 splendour including its magnificent original parquet floor and
handmade gold-leaf glass chandelier and has become a popular venue for exclusive social events.
Capacity: up to 100 guests, 64 seats with dance floor (rounds of 8 guests)

Suggested entertainment:
Twenties Theme Party
Two gangsters are standing at the entrance smoking cigarettes, two young ladies welcome guests
(especially the gentlemen). A flower girl distributes carnations to the gentlemen. Charlie Chaplin and
Marlene Dietrich look-alikes distribute boas to the ladies. A shoe cleaner offers his services. A mime artist
is standing in the corner looking blue, his mood changes while the guests come in (especially the ladies).
His show starts... A swing band plays music from the twenties. A highlight of the evening is a
demonstration of the Charleston by a couple who are happy to teach the guests this famous twenties
dance.

After check out guests are transferred to the Vltava river for a private jazz brunch on the boat. Following
the cruise is transfer to the airport.

An exclusive visit to the State Rooms of Prague Castle
Prague Castle is a national cultural monument, the symbol of more than a millennium of development of
the Czech state. Originally the residence of the princes and kings of Bohemia, the Castle has been the
seat of the President's Office since 1918. The halls and salons for receiving official guests of the President
of the Czech Republic form a ring on the level of the 1st floor of all the wings of the "New Palace". Some
of them served as state rooms and dwelling quarters of the sovereigns as early as the 16th century.
We offer our guests a special visit of the state rooms that most visitors to Prague never see.
Duration: North Wing approx. 30 minutes, South Wing approx. 50 minutes
Capacity: 20 pax per visit
 The tour is only possible when the President is not present.
 The full names and passport numbers of all guests joining this tour are requested in advance for
security reasons.
 The state rooms are not ordinarily open to the visitors of the Castle. Usually, they are open to the
public twice a year only.
Strahov Monastery – a backstage visit to the Monastic Library
The Royal Canonry of Premonstratensians (White Canons) at Strahov, of which the Strahov Library is an
integral part, was founded in 1140 by Vladislav II. The origins of the Strahov Library collection go back to
the foundation of the abbey. The book collections contain approximately 200,000 volumes, estimated to
hold 260,000 works. The books are stored in the two halls, the Baroque Theological room (1671-1679)
and the Neo-classical Philosophy Room (1785-1794), and in adjacent depositories.
We offer our guests a special tour of the library's historic halls – the Theological and Philosophy Rooms that is not available to the public.

Christmas party – Bohemian Christmas
Christmas is coming! Take this opportunity to experience what Christmas in the Czech
Republic is about. A local town reeve welcomes you in a room decorated with a
Christmas tree, fir loppings, red and green ribbons, straw decorations and traditional
wooden toys. A Christmas crib is set up in the room with Mary and the Infant Jesus,
Joseph and the three Kings. A traditional ensemble plays Christmas carols and various
Bohemian Christmas customs are presented at traditional wooden stands by assistants
dressed in period costumes. An optional highlight for the evening is a dance
performance. If desired, a traditional Bohemian Christmas meal can be served for dinner. Merry
Christmas!
Prague differently - tour of Prague on Segway
The Segway is a two-wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicle. The name "Segway" is a homophone of
"segue" (a smooth transition). Segways are powered by electric motors and can travel at up to 12.5 miles
per hour (20.1 km/h).
Forget walking, renting cars, buses or bicycles… and try something amazing and absolutely unique. Take
a ride on a Segway, have fun and see Prague from the “Segway perspective”!

1 instructor per max. 6 guests; 2 instructors for 7 and more guests
 In the Czech Republic riding a Segway is legal and allowed in places where it is possible to walk
safely. That means you can use them on the sidewalks.

Meeting at the Horse
The story of the emotional years 1968 and 1989 is explained to the guests in a place near
the Horse Statue of St. Wenceslas at the Wenceslas Square.
Wine tasting in the House of Wine U Zavoje
Located in the Old Town, this elegant wine restaurant and bar offers a
wide range of local and international wines. The history of the building
that houses the restaurant stretches back to 1265. Its current form dates
from the end of the 19th century and the atmosphere of the old times
can still be felt here. Popular wine tastings of Czech and French wines
with professional sommeliers take place in the restaurant regularly. The
menu is a mix of Czech and international cuisine.

Beer marathon
The participants are divided into small teams (each team consists of 5-7 people).
Each team receives a detailed map of Prague pubs, restaurants and taverns.
The main objective of the activity is to get to know as many different beer sorts as
possible, and to visit high quality Prague restaurants, picturesque pubs and out-ofthe-way boozers.
During the race teams are obtaining points according to the speed and strategy of the pub visits.
The race is finished with a final test - the beer tasting, in which the teams have to recognize two or three
high quality Czech beer brands among a dozen of different samples.

Skoda Rally
This is a fun rally with old-fashioned SKODA cars from the 70s/80s in the countryside
around Prague. The participants are divided into teams of 4. Each team has its own
Skoda car and the participants can drive the cars on their own!
Each team receives a game sheet, map, road book with instructions, Skoda car history
booklet and digital camera, Dictaphone and mobile phone. The aim of the rally is to
find various checkpoints along the route (approx. 50 km). Once they reach the
checkpoint, they have to fulfill various tasks (e.g. a blind slalom, pushing the car, taking photos…)
The team with the highest score wins, the time is not measured.
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Capacity: up to 160 people
 Prize for the winning team is not included (prize: little Skoda models).
Vintage coach ride – Škoda 706, 1959
A unique and beautifully renovated vintage coach – Škoda 706, 1959 –
waits in front of the hotel, ready to take guests to their dinner venue or
through the streets of Prague. The ride is an unforgettable experience.

Find the artist in you at the Manto Gallery
The art of Antonin Manto-Mrnka lies on the border between functional and fine
art. Manto’s cast-iron, glass, porcelain, and ceramic artwork is inspired by the
power of the basic element of fire. Each piece is unique and individually created.
The artist Antonin Manto-Mrnka presents his work at the Manto Gallery in the
Lesser Town, where visitors can experience and interact with his artwork.
Under Manto-Mrnka’s personal supervision, you will have the opportunity to
create your very own original piece of art – your own glass bowl or artefact,
imaginatively decorated and painted and then fired and moulded in the kiln. This
is an unforgettable experience providing you with a lasting and unique souvenir.

Capacity: 15 - 20 guests per visit
 A glass bowl decoration program can be organised in an alternative venue
 24 hours needed for firing and cooling – the glass bowls can only be delivered to the hotel the next
day after the gallery visit. Therefore it is recommended not to have this program on the last day of
the trip.

Please note that this proposal is based on 50 persons. Exchange rate € 1,00 = approx. CZK 24,00. The
prices for meals do not include drinks or tips. The above mentioned price is 5% commissionable.
